Yes thank you for the correction. The document I went off of was incorrect. “Mac” was and still is(coaching in Florida) a great coach, mentor and ambassador for Indiana wrestling. It’s unfortunate that myself and the others couldn’t deliver him a state champion. He definitely deserved it. -
Biggest Friday night upset ever

Unfortunately this was Saturday morning at New Castle in 1985 since we didn’t have a Friday night. If my fading memory serves me right, former CG coach Mike Trulock(18-14) wrestling for Beech Grove then, made it as an alternate 4 seed and defeated a then undefeated and I believe ranked #1 or #2 Paul Richey of Laporte.
