Should probably consider hosting this at a different venue in the future or allowing less of the lighter weights in. Heavier weights are sitting 3 hours plus between matches. Hard to follow mat schedule when there is poor service in the gym and the school doesn’t turn on the WiFi.

Nowhere near heavy. Get down to your fighting weight. That’s what it will take. I’ll be around 167
If you need a corner guy General I’m available! I’ll bring a bucket of ice and some donuts...obviously the donuts are for me, you don’t get my physique from eating healthy! Congrats on your weight loss though, it’s not an easy thing to do.

You will. I’ve given it some thought and I decided why not?
106 give me Brady in a toughy
113 give me Herman in OT
120 give me B-Rad Ester in a nail biter
126 I’m doing the Humphrey
132 Give me Reakus in UTB
138 give me Sotero in a white knuckle snap-down.
145 Give me Sheets no Dre Beats.
152 I’ll assume it’s McCune
160 Kreager I’m down with you but the Pedigree goes to Pettigrew.
170 I’ve seen them both and I must say; I’ll take Fielden in a major way.
182 I don’t have a clue?
195 I like Cooper Harris his pops cool as ever but per the results I’ll have to take Lepper.
220 I know everyone has Big Wicker; but I’ll take Martz his takedowns are slicker.
285 Luke Miller pulled off the upset, I call him Big Kountry: but until further notice I’ll have to say Muncie.
First off General I appreciate the shout out...the only disagreement I have with you is at the 195 bout...I know Lepper’s won 2 and Harris has won Zero...but his hard work in the room could make him a hero...Now if anyone disputes that I wouldn’t want to be em...but we can settle it next Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum.

all in fun gentlemen!

Two of the three from Fort Wayne have "excuses"
Kolin Cope was one of FIVE, yes five ranked from the same sectional...someone was going home in that sectional.
Marcus Debolt was winning something like 8-0 in the semi-finals and got injured.Marcus Debolt was never winning in the semifinals on Saturday. Was down 4-0 when he went out with injury.

So I asked this last night at our meeting because the Winter bulletin said one thing but last year we did something different.
Winter Bulletin states that "pigtail" or round of 16 matches are available to anyone in the bracket. Last year the IHSAA stated to put pigtail matches with the first and last drawn in wrestlers.
Our sectional head contacted the IHSAA and they said to do it they way we did the previous year.
Now I am seeing other sectionals that didn't do it this way. (example Southport)
I believe there was controversy last year because a seeded guy isn’t supposed to be in a rat tail, only drawn in guys are.

Carroll brackets were up this morning, now they’re gone.

106 SAC Cornewell
113 Carroll
120 SAC Ester
126 SAC Humphrey
132 SAC Shelton
138 SAC Sotero
145 Slight nod to Carroll (11-10 over Tippmann)
152 SAC Hilger
160 SAC Kreager
170 SAC Morris
182 ? this weight is a mystery
195 Carroll
220 SAC
HWT Carroll. This is based on results and rankings. Nice try.
160 I’d give it to the SAC as well but not sure it’s Kreager. Goeglein from Concordia is wrestling tough and Kreager didn’t face him at Duels for whatever reason.
195 is a very slight edge to Carroll...Harris from Concordia only lost 7-6 to Lepper in their only match this season, he had a late ankle pick in the waning seconds and lost his grip on the ankle just enough for Lepper to avoid getting taken down.
220 Bills did pin the SAC’s #1 seed so I’d have to give that edge to Carroll but keep in mind the SAC’s #1 seed is only a freshman that continues to improve.

Per my research of the 27 brackets I have, 13 have done it the "proper" way with putting unseeded kids together in the rat tails. There are 8 that have done it via random draw. Usually there were a few renegade sectionals that did it the "proper" way in the past.
So if it is in fact supposed to be done the “proper” way per the IHSAA then shouldn’t those 8 sectionals that didn’t do it that way change the bracket to have the unseeded wrestlers wrestle in the rat tails?

Yes exactly! Absolutely nowhere to park except in the grass and on side streets then threatened to tow you if you weren’t in the parking lot...you mean the parking lot that has no spaces left?!! My son wrestled his 2nd match at 2pm and his 3rd match at 7pm! They gotta do better than that!
