  1. Mustang yes it was Dominique price in the ticket round. And Y2 couldn't agree more on everything you said but more specifically about college and believe that we could be seeing a future all American. But I really would again lik to reiterate that Cody def deserves to be in the discussion for the best indiana's had, obviously he's not Tsirtsis and don't anyone take this as I'm saying they're on the same level but the losses column does match haha
  2. Just think we should all take a second to congratulate Cody on not only his state championship but on a wonderful career on and off the mat. With being a 3 time finalist, 2 time champion, and only having two losses in his campaign I believe Cody deserves to be in the discussion as one of the top 10-15 high school wrestlers, pre college, in the state of indiana. Speaking of college good luck to Cody at the next level, we all look forward to seeing your career unfold. A great young man both on and off the mat and a wonderful representative of indiana and the sport of wrestling, I thank you for giving it your all and for providing a role model for all younger wrestlers to look up to and learn from both on and off the mat. Good Luck at CMU!!!
  3. Perry Meridian: 1) Cody Lecount- SSQ one loss frosh, 2nd place soph only two losses on career, Fargo runner-up, 1st place jr, 1st place sr finishes w only 2 losses and one of indiana's all time greats 2) Jared McKinley- SQ frosh, 4th place soph, 1st place jr, 1st place sr 3) Nathan Moore- SQ soph, 1st place jr, 1st place sr, Fargo national champ 4) Nick Walpole- SQ frosh, 3rd place soph, 1st place jr, 3rd place sr losing to Andrew Howe in semis, DII National Champion 5) Chico Adams- 8th place soph, 1st place jr, 1st place sr 5) Brandon James- 3rd place frosh, 5th place soph, 2nd place jr, if places sr yr will b PM's first four time place winner
  4. I'm just glad all the Lee fans can accept that regardless of how dominate he may have been during every match up to that semi's match that still doesn't change the fact that winning a state title as a frosh is more impressive than getting third regardless of losses or who you wrestled (he may have had less losses than tshirts but it's pretty obvious who wrestled better competition the entire yr, possibly a factor in y he was ready for the best once state rolled around)
  5. But that's exactly my point. Congratulations that to this point he has had a better freshman year but I'm sure everyone on this board would rather take a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP and only two losses at the end of that freshman year as opposed to having one loss and third being the highest finish you could take as would happen if Lee were to lose to Micic, this also is my point, IF Lee would happen to lose, the "freshman campaign" as the thread is titled is finished yet so how can we talk about who's was better yet lol
  6. The Howe vs Walpole match in the semis comes to mind. A true battle the entire match with Howe shooting a low single right off the whistle to start OT and get the win. I also remember Blackwell and Cooper Samuels meeting in the semis was one of the most exciting matches ever at start with a lot of points being scored, again tho too bad it was in the semis not finals
  7. Oh and no offense Mr Naphtolli (sorry if misspelled) but your a clown if you think Lee would "easily" have won 132. I bet all the LN fans thought Cashe would easily win his 2nd title n we all know how that turned out.
  8. I am not going to lie. I was so incredibly shocked that this is even a conversation that I found myself creating an account just so I could comment. Comparing Lee, at the present moment, to any other wrestlers freshman year when that other freshman has already completed their high school wrestling career is just ridiculous. I understand we lik to humor eachother and keep topics interesting but, and god forbid this happens, but what if Lee or Micic didn't even make it to the field house? Hit a patch of black ice on the way or what if one comes down w mono or what if one is hurt in practice this week etc. I in no way hope this happens and am looking forward to hearing this debate after this weekend but to compare who's had "the best freshman year to this point" is just silly in my opinion cuz who cares what uve done leading up to state, last I checked they didn't award state championships(like the one T-shirts won) for beating everyone through the season handily. They only give you the title after Saturday night when you've beaten the best the state has to offer.
