You seem to be implying that somebody (among those you mentioned) at this weight placed 4th at Evansville. Last Saturday at Evansville it was: 1) Hudkins 2) Gomez 3) Ferguson 4) Egli Or if you meant to say Merrillville: 1) Black 2) Reitz 3) Hatch 4) Hardesty I noticed because I was pulling for the Semi-State Final of Hudkins v Gomez. It was a re-match of Regionals. Both matches were very close in score.

220 - Gunnar Larson (Avon) beat Ben Schoolcraft (Martinsville) 6-1. And FYI, his name is spelled with an "a" (Gunnar) and he's in 9th grade not 10th.

That makes perfect sense. But you're assuming that each sectional has the top 4 in the correct order. And that isn't true because sectionals don't have "true" 2nd's. Say a #3 in sectional A didn't get a chance to beat sectional A's #2, then he has to face B's #2 who he has a 50-50 chance of beating. And say he could easily beat B's #3 as well as A's #2. But he didn't get a chance to face either one.
