  1. North Posey isnt in the SIAC, they are in the PAC.
  2. Yeah was hoping to have something by now, seen that the Big 8 seeds are out, hopefully somebody comes up with them and gets them to us.
  3. If Smith beat Williams then that would give Smith the 2 seed, and the winner between Williams and Farmer the 3 seed. If Smith would've wrestled Farmer on Saturday that could've changed things up if Farmer would've won. Central might've been trying to save his seed there by not wrestling him against Farmer.
  4. I would say Williams over both of them. Pierre, Williams, then not sure between Farmer and Smith? Maybe that's why Smith didn't wrestle Farmer, hoping they wouldn't lose a seed and drop to the 4 and see Pierre in the Semi Finals.
  5. I thought Bethel from MV at 126 looked real tough today. He bumped up and wrestled a good McCormick kid from Central and outside of maybe one or two situations dominated the match by I think a major. Pretty tough kid for a freshman.
  6. I agree, every weight has a clear favorite or two, but some weights are 4 or 5 deep that will make for some good wrestling. I went ahead and did a pre prediction post and see how I do before the seeds come out next week.
  7. I'll throw out my pre predictions before the seeds come out next week, but not knowing where everyone will end up makes it tough so some kids may not be at the weight I have them at, I'm going off most recent results I've seen.... 106: Egli MD, Schaefer M, Oakley C, Hall R 113: Ferguson R, Luigs MD, Horty M, Matherly N 120: Johnson MD, Brown C, Arney M, Willis C, Craig R 126: Lee MD, Wargel M, Clopton C, Elpers N 132: Jourdan MD, Davis R, Ramsey C, Brown M, McCormick C 138: Schnell C, Seng MD, Petrig M, Dixon C 145: Pierre MD, Williams M, Smith C, Matherly N, Farmer C 152: Kelley C, Riegal R, Weinzapfel MD, Abshier M 160: Kemper C, Forzley MD, Stotlar M, Jeffress C, VanHook R 170: Lockyear C, Kempf MD, Huesling M, Shaw R 182: Bassemier MD, Dowell C, Jones R 195: Brown M, Orth MD, Libby C, Clark R 220: Barnes M, Butler MD, Helfert C, Moon H 285: Kyles H, Cox MD, Powell N, Page M Like I said some of these guys may not even be wrestling anymore or in the right weight class. We'll know more after this weekend and the seed meeting. Should be a great day of wrestling at the SIAC.
  8. I don't know if I can take Wrestleman's spot. I will do my best to put a good prediction out there though...look for it early next week. The paper says Ferguson won by fall in 28 seconds!!!
  9. Pretty much what I expected out of last nights dual. I knew Reitz's only chances were at 113, 132, and 152. I wasn't surprised but definitely didn't see Ferguson dominating Luigs like he did. Heard it was a quick takedown right into a cradle. Pretty impressive win for Ferg, not everyday you dominate a MD wrestler like that.
  10. I've also heard good things about Craig but just haven't seen him wrestle yet this year. Sounds like 120 could be a good weight class to watch this weekend in Mt.Vernon.
  11. Yeah Waninger looked tough at the Holiday Classic this year. I see him being right in the mix this year at the Regional.
  12. I don't see Davis winning by a major either. Jourdan is solid and could easily pull off the win tonight. That will definitely be the match of the night.
  13. Where is this taking place this weekend??? Should be some good team matchups...Castle vs Central, Mt.Vernon vs Castle, Mt.Vernon vs Central should be good dual meets. Potential good match-ups... 120: Brown, Willis, and Keller 132: Davis, Ramsey, Suar, McCormick 138: Schnell, Dixon 145: Smith, Farmer, Whoberry 160: Kemper, Jeffress 220: Choate, Helfert Any others that I missed??
  14. Who is going to compete with Johnson and Pierre??? Unless you know something different I don't think Reitz has anyone on the level of these two that will make it close or compete....
  15. Yeah it's bad that this won't be a close dual or more good match ups like recent years. Only 1 great match-up, so not worth my hour drive to make the trip to watch. I'll catch it at the SIAC or Regional if it happens then.
  16. I agree, I only have Reitz winning 2 matches, I give Ferguson a major over Luigs and Davis a decision over Jourdan. Only other possible win I see for Reitz is Riegal at 152. Mater Dei runs away with this, I have it scored at 63-7.
  17. Hard to tell if one will bump up or go down? They obvious choice is yes one should because that could be a tough day a week before the Sectional, but they could also benefit from a tough match or two to prepare them for the State tournament. Keller will give Brock everything he wants and then some, but I believe Brock beat him last year, and I don't think Keller has a big win this year to make me pick him over Brock.
  18. I don't think this Conference Tournament is until next weekend so they probably haven't had the seed meeting yet. I guess the question is still in doubt if Schitter and Brescher are back in Jasper's lineup...so far we've gotten that Brescher wrestled against TC on Jan 9th, but didn't wrestle Princeton the other night? 145 could be loaded with Brescher, Karges, Osha, and Whoberry. All 4 are Semi-State caliber wrestlers or above.
  19. Koerner wrestled at 126 earlier in the season, so I would find it surprising if he really is down at 113. He won it last year at 113 so I would think as well wherever he goes he is capable of winning. I'm not sure what is wrong with Schitter or Brescher? I just haven't seen them in any results lately? And I haven't seen Valenciano's name at all this year? Yes, Karges will be the favorite at 145, I simply just forgot about him.
  20. Haven't seen any talk of this Conference...looking at results, it looks like a 2 team race between Jasper and Mt.Vernon. Other teams seem to have a few individuals that could win a title, but not enough to win a team championship. I've noticed a few big names haven't been in the lineup for Jasper...Schitter? Brescher? Valenciano? Any predictions??? 106 Konrath 113 Koerner 120 Brock 126 Hemmings 132 Schitter if he wrestles, if not then Suar 138 Allen 145 Brescher if he wrestles, if not then Osha 152 Taylor 160 Kersteins 170 Kreilein 182 Songer 195 Newton 220 Wise 285 Stallings
  21. I don't think he will drop either, wouldn't be smart, just have seen him in the rankings at times at 126 so didn't know if they knew something we didn't. But I agree his best shot at a title will be 132.
  22. I think Karges could go anywhere from 5-8. I would put him in front of Smith of Central. Karges placed 7th at the Al Smith, not sure of any other notable finishes or wins? Like I said he has been out the first half of the season with an injury, but did have a good year last year, beating a very good Blake Johns first round of Regionals and wrestling Lykins tough at the Semi-State.
  23. Gotcha. I saw he wrestled 120 somewhere else also, maybe Mooresville? But I've noticed Keenan McDaniel in the Semi-State rankings at 126 early in the season, but not seen him wrestle this year? Has he been hurt?
  24. Alright back to the wrestling discussion...anybody heard of guys changing weights? I've seen Willis ranked at 120 in the Semi State but been wrestling 126, also heard Davis might drop to 126? Any word on these guys or anybody else?
  25. I think that is what hurt Ferguson last year, he didn't to my knowledge have any competition up until the Semi-State ticket round match with Smith. He doesn't have anyone in there practice room either that will push him unless he goes up to Davis, its not like there practice rooms back in the day with Kuhn, Johns, VanHook, etc. Hopefully this year will be a different story for Ferguson, would like to see more Southern Indiana wrestlers on the podium.
