  1. I hope someone sent all the other wrestlers a memo so they can just stay home and watch cartoons instead of driving to Castle and wasting their morning trying to win.
  2. That is apparent when you go to iswa state and see the same handful of kids from different programs battle it out for titles from 4th grade until middle school and come their freshman season they are all on the same team.
  3. Well then he should have went with the corn dog. I guess Arney should avoid striking a match? I already said I would be shocked if Arney won but that was before this whole explanation. There is no chance of it now. Haha
  4. I saw several pins not called. Sometimes there were 2 & 3 times in a match.
  5. Yep...it went both ways. 126 I had no clue what happened.
  6. Haha thats why I dont win the lottery. Mastison put it on Brown and Kuhn. He wrestled like a champion. Johns got a pretty bad call in his match. Other than the Castle faithful everyone in that gym saw he scored 2 back points. Either way its over and its time to pick this weeks winners. I dont see how Brown, Lehman, Kuhn and Mastison dont advance all the way to Indy. The only thing is which ones wins from day to day. 132 is exactly the same way. You have to admit that.
  7. Johns takes this one. He wrestled good enough to be champion in 99% of the sectionals and just happened to be in a very tough sectional. It is not going to be easy but I think he wins this one. Its always a shame to see 2 great wrestlers meet up so early.
  8. I dont think Arney beating Johnson is unthinkable. He wrestled Kuhn and Lehman very well and has a great coaching staff to fix his mistakes. Johnson is a defensive wrestler and isnt explosive which gives kids like Arney a better than average chance to win. It would be a shock to most including me but it isnt unrealistic.
  9. Counting the Harrison kid out at 285? I didn't even catch that one. I watched Arney wrestle Kuhn well and thought he would give the 120 guys more trouble this weekend. He advanced at 120 so his bump up was a good move. If he knocks off Johnson I will be shocked but crazier things have happened. It is wrestling. The Harrison 285 is a wild card but I dont see him going home just yet.
  10. Picking all 4 Castle Sectional kids from 120 lbs? Counting out MD and GS? Is there something I dont know going on here?
  11. I will predict at least 7 on TOP of the podium for Mater Dei for this Sectional. Regionals with Reitz, Castle and Memorial back in the mix will definitely hinder that again.
  12. Welcome back. I got a personal message about your absence but never was told why you left the boards. Whatever the reason I hope you are okay. I agree the Sectionals hurt the Regional. Without throwing in the word dominant do you have your own picks of this Sectionals winners?
  13. You have the seeds right. I think everyone is gun shy to say anything to jinx their guy or perhaps be ridiculed by a "alum" who is protecting the teams "legacy". I see Kuhn and Johns winning in each weight. Kuhn dominated Brown the first match (I was not there but a good friend was and those are his exact words) and Johns always comes up big in late season and competes well in do or die situations. Wedding is the best wrestler at 132 when he is healthy and I cant imagine him going all out just yet and risking his health. He should place top 3 either way and wait for more important matches to go all out. Just my thoughts.
  14. I have overstated that a little but take away Reitz and Castle and it opens 4-5 top spots that Mater Dei has in the loop that no other teams bring to the table. I am curious to see how Gibson Southern does with their Conference Champions against the SIAC Champions/Runners Up.
  15. Pretty solid picks. I see at least one Gibson Southern kid stepping up and upsetting someone in the 106-126 weights.
  16. That's probably true. Those East Side guys are pretty stealthy. I just hope Luke Welch can go capture a state title. He is a hard worker and solid wrestler. I expect to see him under the lights.
  17. Sigh. I already concurred with your other screen name.
  18. I cant imagine Mater Dei not having 13 in the finals if not 14. Has that ever been done?
  19. You make-a-me-laugh. You said Reitz wrestled like a 4th place team implying Castle was better overall. I say Reitz wrestled short handed from illness and still came 5 points from 2nd. I say Kuhn is the favorite and you talk about a match against a total different kid from another program. What kind of fan are you to call that excuses. What was Reitz suppose to do wrestle a kid in 2 weight classes to fill the line up? The kids wrestled like a short handed team and still came a point from Castle. Be proud of that Mr. Legacy.
  20. Pantherfan is absolutely a Castle parent who bashes Reitz at every turn. Period.
  21. Lehman from Mater Dei did an outstanding job defeating Kuhn or Reitz and wrestled very close with Brown of Castle before losing in the SIAC finals to Brown.
