  1. Wow, you guys probably have a good arguement on most of your picks, but im curious why none of you picked Blanton at 138? I don't know the Hupp kid or ever seen him wrestle, but Im sure you will see some great competition at 138. But my money is on Blanton. He is the real deal. Good luck to all the other wrestler's.GRWrFH
  2. Im a Luke Blanton fan and I know him well. I coached most of his brother's before him. He wants to prove he belongs to that family and he knows what he is doing on the mat at all times. He won't stop on the mat. The kid that beats him will have to last his charges and I don't think there is a kid out there that can do that. He is on a mission and he has nine brothers in his corner that will not let him stop. The Forte kid is very good, but don't forget about Chandler Carrol from Yorktown, he is a great wrestler also. My pick will be Blanton over all of them. He is a wonderful kid on and off the mat and he is for real.
  3. The only reason Todd didn't win this year is because he had a very bad day of wrestling and Petrov had a great day. Todd is much better than he showed at the state finals. Both Petrov and Todd would have beaten Brooks. But not to take anything away from Brooks, Brooks showed he was the best at his wieghtclass hands down.
  4. Im just saying it is impossible to be right when there is not much difference in the talent of these wrestlers. Batt, Forte, Blanton, Malloy are all very good wrestlers and the only standout was the one that won the wieghtclass. By just comparison of head to head, you would have to say Forte was the best choice for second since he beat Blanton worse than Batt did, but the disappointment of losing to Batt changed how focused Blanton was going into the cosolation match against Forte.
  5. There is no way you can honestly pick a true second the way you have made ur picks. I know for a fact that Luke Blanton on any given night can wrestle with any of those wrestlers. He showed moments of doing that Sat. But my hat is off to the wrestlers that placed in front of him. He is a wonderful kid as is his 10 brothers and sisters. He will be back next year with only one thing on his mind.
