Having some trouble finding them.
  2. I somewhat agree! Every tourney should have weigh ins! The honor system isn't flawed, it's the lying coaches and parents that are flawed. Hate to say that because most are great about it, it's the few that give the honor system a bad rap.
  3. Alright, someone needs to give us updates! I can't find it live on the net and I don't have anyone there to call. Please people, keep us posted!
  4. Anyone know if today's regional is going to be broadcast live anywhere? Webcast kinda thing ya know.
  5. Don't do it wrestlingmom812 :'( we can't afford to lose another wrestler to the clan on the hill!
  6. LOL! Too funny Donnie! Not often FC, NA, and Jeff people aren't at each others throats. Really though, it's about time we come together. Now that we have no Elementary school sports our high school programs had better come together, get out and spend some time in clubs, recruiting young kids and doing whatever we can because the next few years could be awfully lean otherwise. The middle school guys coming up now and the next year or 2 are all we have in the pipeline, starting to look really slim. It's a shame too ya know, cause we have a great group of coaches in Sisson, Burres, Binkley and Struck! They've done alot for the sport here in Southern Indiana.
  7. Well ma'am, you are a great example of a wrestling mom! I see so many that pick fights, scream at the refs, and other parents and kids. You're a pleasant change and very well respected from my point of view!
  8. In all honesty, A win for FC, NA or Jeff is a win for southern Indiana wrestling and God knows we need some bragging rights. Good luck to all you guys, we're proud of you, and we stand behind you 100% no matter the school! ;D
  9. Good people, Marlers, Troutmans, Wards, Sissons and Burres'. Can't we all just get along? ;D
  10. Hey everyone, you know that Marler kid? Guess what I heard? LOL! Kidding, really I am! I am familiar with the animosity between New Albany and Floyd Central, gotta say, I've seen some bad blood between Troutman and Burres. Looked like someone was upset and wouldn't shake Burres' hand after a match. Don't know the story, don't care to make assumptions. Don't think there was any love lost there though.
  11. So when a kid wrestles an ISWA tournament and he has on a Mater Dei singlet and his profile says Mater Dei, he doesn't actually go to Mater Dei?
  12. All you Evansville lifelong Mater Dei, Reitz fanatics here and I can't get an update on a tournament in your back yard?
  13. Can someone please post the results to this tourney? Track wrestling isn't updated and the results were never posted.
  14. Why is it not real? Because you say it isn't? Guess what Oswald was the lone gunman, the government says so, so it has to be the truth! Believe what you want doesn't change things one bit!
  15. I think my biggest problem is that we don't have the support of our schools or our community when it comes to wrestling! Are we jealous? You bet your ass we are! To have that kind of program or even a year round wrestling school like a CIA or Regional wrestling academy, or Hoosier Elite here would be phenomenal! Yes they have earned their reputation, I don't think that is in question, I believe what is in question is what was done years ago to get them to where they are now.
  16. First off, let me get something clear in my mind here. Where I live (Southern Indiana about 3 hours from Evansville), a kid is free to go to any school in the county he resides in. As for a private school it does not have to be in the same county, and now the state has vouchers for students wanting to attend private school. So that being said, If I had the option to send my son to an academically superior college preparatory school with a 10 time wrestling state championship program (or however many) and the state was going to pay for most of it, why would I not send my son there? Like I said, I don't like them but their record is outstanding. And if it's the best thing for my son to get into a top college seems they wouldn't need to recruit "anymore"
  17. http://www.courierpress.com/comments/list/news/stories/298235/2/ Talk to the paper, That's a direct quote. Hmmm let's see, I'm going to give a few kids who I recruited financial assistance to wrestle for us. So do I a.) tell all the old school families about it so they can be extremely pissed that they're paying and these kids aren't. or b.) Just keep it to ourselves to prevent any infuriated alumni. Wow I'm with you Matchick, that couldn't possibly be going on, if it was they would surely have disclosed that to all you tuition paying families. ;D
  18. Let me ask this? Has any other school in Indiana won that many State championships in a row for wrestling?
  19. I agree ttipton, If they weren't in the South I would truly hate them and protest to no end, but the Southern schools have to stick together against the Northerners!
  20. You know I do totally agree with ttipton, but on the other side of the coin, I have to hand it to the HS coaches, We have a few catholic schools around us here and they suck! Takes a very intelligent, savvy, determined person to be able to look to the future and build the kind of program they have built there. Don't get me wrong, I still don't like them but I respect greatness.
