  1. Please help!  Everyone wants accurate results, but without good data to work with, we can't nail it down!

  2. I saw Ruberg twice this year. Kid's the real deal. Lawrenceburg will have some studs over the next 2-3 years. They fly under the radar b/c they do a lot of wrestling in Ohio.

Yeah, they placed well at Conference and Regional with only half a team!  And I don't think they are losing any to graduation.

  3. does anyone know anything about Ruberg? such as notable wins, middle school accomplishments, etc? Just curious and any details are appreciated

He beat Chandler Hale at the EC 8-Way.  Not sure about any other notable wins, but when you see this kid on the mat, you would never think he is a freshman.  I was VERY impressed.  At Conference and Sectional (I wasn't at Regional, but based on the results, he did OK there, too).

  4. I am going to jump on in and point out that this is one crappy ticket round draw.  All of the other possibilities in this bracket and that is what we end up with???  Both deserve to advance.

Yeah, it sucks.  Had something similar last year with Ricky Brown vs. Maximiliano in the ticket round.  Sometimes the luck of the draw is just that.  BAD luck.....

  5. 170  .822 winning pct.  152 .816  132 .808  120 .782  138 .770  160 .767  126 .752  106 .744  182 .742  285 .731  145 .700  195 .686  113 .685  220 .619

A little different way to look at it......  I took the records of the theoretical top 4 (best head to head record for first round matchups) and calculated winning percentage.  I also listed the best record that is NOT in the top 4 at each weght class.  170 definitely looks the strongest, and 220 is by far the weakest (one SS representative will probably be sub-.500).

Miller (113) and Kell (138) helped themselves by finishing first and second respectively last week to avoid facing opponents with 19-5 records.  Someone will be a tough out at those two weight classes.  And you have two great records on the outside looking in at 126.

  8. " :( Hopefully this moves along a little more smoothly. The officials had several issues there that really slowed down things ::)"

That is putting it mildly, but very PC. LOL

    Yup!

Hey, at what point do we get two officials on the mat for the chamionship matches?  Or did I only dream this?

  9. Fortunuately, head-to-head matches at Sectional should straighten it out for Regional.

And some of us were fortunuate to have Conference to straighten it out prior to Sectional.

This whole thread makes my head hurt!  LOL
