  1. once again you have to take cheap stabs lol for us single champ supporters we have the one and only supporter that matters the IHSAA
  2. is it safe to assume MD was the only school that chose to move up in classes?
  3. y2 do you have a list of the three ihswca classes you can direct me to or am i too lazy for that as well???
  4. i already looked and couldnt find them thanks for calling me lazy though
  5. i believe there probably is i dont have the ability to get school enrollment numbers but id bet they are really close to proportional
  6. once again that comes down to what your community focuses their efforts on in our community we get two state placers and it hits the newspaper behind the 5th grade girls basketball tournament absolutely nothing will change this if madison wrestling won the 2A team title when we arrived back to the school we would be greeted by a hand full of family members and maybe a fire truck that one of the coaches would have to call in a favor to get done since no one else in the town would be paying attention to whether we won or lost probably would have selectively not heard any announcement about it in the first place
  7. They can divide it however they want but until they split the state and rename said territories. Ohio is one state. If there are more than one tournaments for the same weight it is a division title Once again. Choosing the college you attend is much different than going to the high school in your area. If you are good enough to win a D1 title them you don't wrestle D3
  8. Don't drop to y2's level of snide comments. Yes you are a state placer since you did it in a single class state. In Ohio they will say your 2014 106 pound division 1 state champion. In Indiana your 2014 106 pound state champion. You can't have a STATE champion at one weight when there are three division Champions
  9. Zach had some tough draws too. He beat the eventual semi state champion at regionals one year Teammate Robby Taylor also a 4 time ticket rounder who took 2nd at a tournament the EMD kid took 5th then EMD kid takes 4th at semi state and Taylor was beat out by VanHook
  10. Just so no one is confused state[ steyt ] 7. a politically unified people occupying a definite territory champion[ cham-pee-uhn ] noun 1. a person who has defeated all opponents in a competition or series of competitions, so as to hold first place: the heavyweight boxing champion. So a high school state champion must be first place out of the people in high schools in the defined territory (Indiana) By logic of classed wrestling you could win an Indiana State title and call yourself a classed National champion because in the Indiana class you are the best in the country
  11. keeping up and watching are two different things and you cant compare ohio's numbers with ours because no one whats to go straight finals to finals per kid cant do opening night results because they open on thursday and you want to count every participant in the consols and finals in indiana because its one session until ohio can put up three times the numbers indiana does (since they have three times the participants) they havent even matched indiana
  12. how so if there are three matches going on you cant watch them all so since this was a big match up there were probably more people watching it than normal and half the crowd had to go to track wrestling to see who won the other "state" titles or they just didnt care so they didnt look
  13. there were allot of people there when he won his title too bad only 1/3 of them were watching him
  14. you are all missing it not the big or little picture your missing the picture all together its an individual tournament. there is no big school vs little school there is only one guy wearing a red ankle band vs another guy wearing a green ankle band i beat guys from bigger schools and lost to guys from smaller schools its two people and one gets their hand raised i never was able to lean on someone when i gassed out in the third and i never got taken down by my opponents teammate
  15. i love all your posts like this you get to show everyone how big of a baby you are and i get to laugh about it with my friends
  16. the whole state should give up if the biggest mouth of the class supporters is giving up
  17. i didnt say they were i said i would be i wrestled at madison not exactly a large school and school size doesnt really represent how well the numbers are for the team there are large schools that cant field a full team and small schools that can im still waiting on y2 to show the state qualifiers by actual enrollment it must not have come out the way he thought it would
  18. we already have 14 weight classes and 50 states to separate wrestling why do we then need to divide it into divisions so we can hand out more medals? so we can insure the best dont wrestle the best? i would be pretty upset as a small school having to listen to this crap because you are essentially telling them they arent every going to be good enough to do anything unless they are in classes where they will only see other small schools
  19. punishment would be having no state champions only division champions since they have three times the wrestlers shouldnt they have three times the attendance???
  20. kind of a high number considering the arena the state finals is held in has a capacity of less than 20,000
  21. thanks karl your sarcasm and y2's childish posts dont bother me much
  22. what does indiana wrestling and Y2 have in common both extremely classless
  23. i never argued the point that me being there would change anything i go to state for the emotion if you take that away i can watch every match from home without spending a couple hundred dollars in a weekend if there are wrestlers there from madison of course i will be there though you acting like a baby is pretty entertaining think we could put that under the lights?
  24. i just noticed that i have set to record the iowa D1 state championships on directv why only the D1 i thought that multiple classes would get more exposure for small schools???
