    As a coach, I do not get it at all. Your are competing in the IHSAA Tournament with a chance to take your team to State.......and make everyone in that school, including the administration, teachers, and students, finally realize wrestling is a sport. And an awesome one at that. These decisions to not wrestle your athletes or even try to get your team out of the tourney before you even have the match, are beyond my comprehension. I am trying to think of some of the excuses for this: "I don't want my athletes to get hurt before the Individual Tournament is completed" "I don't think we should travel because it's a waste of time, we are going to lose to our opponent" "I don't want other coaches getting another chance to scout my individuals for the tourney" We are a small sport and need to keep all of the excitement in it alive.

    I like the all-in tournament idea, with qualification through conference tournament championships. As for the teams that do not have conference, there could be an independent conference qualification. The all-in, larger scale tournament would be exciting and I would be supportive.

    Are there ever any Indiana all star events. I know there are several basketball events like this around the state every year, North vs South, East vs West, All-Juniors all star events? I think that some of these events would be great. I've been interested in this for a while, but have never found anything. Even conference all stars against each other would be fun. An All-Junior all star event would really get the fans excited for next year as they would be able to see the top talent in the upperclassmen. As I see some of the seniors not committing to the Indiana/Illinois event, I think the junior would be very hungry to wrestle in something like this. Coach Plummer

    Marcus Williams, Concord High He missed the last half of the season and was 11-1 to that point. Under the radar for sure.
