I don't have much knowledge on what is allowed and what isn't. But he came up to one of my wrestlers and his family at state 2 years ago and asked if they'd be interested in transferring over to be able to wrestle for them. I just assumed they were allowed to do that.
He was at Roncalli two years ago? Hmm.. news to me!

Awesome post that is full of classiness. Since when was it recruiting to contact a kid that already attends a parochial school just to the west of your school? Obviously I'm not hip on what deanery is supposed to go where.. BUT where were the investigation and search parties out to get Tonte and Schoettle from 2011-2014? Madison-Grant? Beech Grove? Lawrence? Center Grove? Are all of those feeder schools for Perry or am I missing something? Or the Cathedral staff who has kids driving from Bloomington/Martinisville area to wrestle/go to school everyday? Where's the finger pointing there? Just because Cathedral isn't associated with the archdiocese they get a pass? Or the search parties for the Brownsburg staff.. Tri-West is a feeder school? Avon? What about Carmel? Two Yorktown boys move to Carmel for one year, one of them doesn't get released, the next year they're back at Yorktown.. nothing fishy there! For every finger you point, there's four pointing back at you. Is what he did right? No. However, quite ridiculous to tell people to "ask their kids to see if he's contacted them." He's already be reprimanded. Your digging will get you nowhere. Notice email(s) - plural - more than one. The man has coached national teams at every level, pretty sure the ISWA has sent him to the OTC, and was the assistant coach at the most elite wrestling academy in the state for over 5 years - good connections with people from every corner of this state. I hope you find the gold you're digging for.. or your finger just may get stuck up your nose!

SO much firepower in the middle.. Bradley's obviously tearing up the IN recruiting trail. Let's hope it all falls into the right place.

just wondering if Coach Bradley has received verbal or signed commitments from any Indiana high school wrestlers...

Not saying that they were the best team ever, but I believe they are definitely in the top 5.. 2012-2013 Perry Meridian squad. Besides the fact that they won back to back big class AAU Disney Dual National titles, they also beat the #2 ranked Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs by over 30 points at the IHSWCA State Dual Tournament in route to their 3rd consecutive IHSAA Team Title.

This is a late reply on the McClurg-Hollins match. I said to "not count your chickens yet . Well Hollins lost Fri. night 7 to 5 and Hollins was a 4th place finisher at Merrillville. I would go on further to say that hade any other 2 officials worked the McClurg -McCloskey match the result would have been different. McCloskey got scre------d out of 2 takedowns that should have been called and I have never seen worse sportsmanship shown than what McClurg exhibited after his victory. I hope his head injury didn't turn into a concussion though. See you next year. Have a good summer
You should be ashamed. As a Perry alum, I am going to stand up for Riley. Have you ever wrestled a match in front of 12,000 people? I doubt it. You're a coward criticizing a high schooler on a public forum. Pathetic. Riley had never been to state, therefore I know he was beyond nervous wrestling Friday night. He told me afterwards that it felt like he was breathing from the neck up, which is understandable for a kid who has never wrestled on a stage of that size. If you go back and watch the film, the first edge of the mat scramble McClurg had a wizzer and had both of his hips up. Read the rule book, a wrestler must be given reaction time. And if you are thinking of the second scramble, there was obviously no control. Riley was almost doing the splits on the edge of the mat while Austin had one leg - no control. At the end of the day, Riley has a blue ring and you are a cowardly adult hiding behind a computer. In my mind, if you win a state title you can do whatever you like. You're the best in the state and you'll go down in the history books as an IHSAA state champion. Austin is a great wrestler and the two matches he and Riley had were a treat to watch. I wish Austin and his family the best of luck, for he has a bright future ahead of him.
GO FALCONS!!!

getting an easy takedown cutting mcclurg and in on another takedown before blowing your knee out then barely able to walk so mcclurg scores an easy takedown and starts to work on his knee.... the score was 2-1 when he hurt his knee in the first 20 seconds when he was in on another shot and let go due to his knee. tatom would have dominated.
Either way you see it, McClurg beat a kid that Tatom has never beat - in his life. Seems to me that the better kid advanced.
-
Get real it wasn't a good call at all...two refs on the mat get the call right...if u think that was a good call you don't know wrestling...there would have been no argument had it been called a reversal and was at least an obvious loss of control for an escape. Lets face the facts on a lucky break for mcclurg because in the tatom match tatom was dominating that match before getting hurt and mcclurg wouldn't have made it out.
I didn't know dominating meant getting beat 4-2? hmmm, learn something new everyday!
-
What happened to Tatum? I see he lost on Injury Default
McClurg was up 4-2 and Tatom tore up his knee. Ran out of injury time and couldn't continue.

Cody LeCount of Perry Meridian takes more shot attempts than any other high school wrestler I've seen this year. His hand fighting is persistent and he is always looking for an opportunity to score points. Most of the Perry kids are quite persistent and are looking to score points. LeCount, James, McClurg, and Winfield are just fun to watch. It's obvious they love to score points.

Perry Meridian just man run away with 14 individual CCC titles!

Anyone have them?
-
First off, lets get one thing straight "Jason Richards". Coach Thorton has done more for the Perry Meridian wrestling program and the sport of wrestling than you will ever do for the sport of wrestling in your lifetime. For you to sit here and try to call out an elder and a man that has been around the sport twice as long as you is completely ignorant. Please do us all a favor and either end the ignorance or stop posting. Thanks.

I haven't seen any results? ??? can someone please list at least the top 3 in every weight class?
-
a little birdie has told me that Trey Reese it weighing around 210lbs and most likely will not make the cut to 189 since he will be playing college football...

I'm not trying to call anyone out, but weren't the Folkstyle State matches supposed to be posted on FloWrestling? I heard they were supposed to be up a month after the state finals, but its obviously been a lot longer than a month. Like I said, I'm not trying to call anyone out, I'm just wondering. If anyone could answer this question, that would be great.
Thanks,

After Tonte went to Warren? If my memory is correct, Coach McClurg was not a head coach at the time of Tonte's departure - still @ Carmel. Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, I remember seeing little Cottey at Warren RTC's and workouts... w/ warrior gear on! Fair grew up in New Palestine/Warren Township, right?.. forgot New Pal/Warren was a Perry Meridian feeder school. Your move.
