Wall Charts for Sectional and Regional Champions

It is true that they do not give out the brackets to the champs. My son won sectional last year and when I checked with the Jay County AD he told me that they were only allowed to give out what the IHSAA sends them and that the brackets were not included. He also told me that for his schools sectional/regional champions that he was going to get them and distribute them at their banquet and that I should check with our AD. Well I have done that several times since the Monday after sectional last year.....and we still don't have a bracket....Not that big of a deal, just nice to have for a memory later on....my husband still has all his! -

Just curious....I thought choking was illegal??? Handley had an illegal choke that is what caused the penalty point....And as far as questionable calls, this is high school, there is no riding time...where were the stalling calls in the 3rd period against Handley?? : Doesn't really matter, the match is over....That match was the best match of the night!

then why didn't the ref score it??? and if 9-6 was the score, since when is a reversal worth 3 pts???? i can show you the video at conference if you would like.......

Quit wrestling schools with only 5 kids, to pad your records. Last I checked the wrestlers don't make the schedule, therefore cannot pick the schools that will "pad" their records......

Thanks for your support, I applaud my son in his decision, he handled the situation on Saturday with much more sportsmanship than most would, including his parents. We feel that this situation was remedied in the best way possible, other that postponing the meet Saturday. Unfortunately for all involved at the semi state pigtail matches someones heart will be broken and dreams crushed. At this time it does not look like Connor was going to have a shot to be allowed to wrestle Saturday anyway. We are proud of him for his accomplishments this year, he had a great season for a freshman, one that greatly surpassed the goals he had going into the season. Good Luck to all at Semi State Saturday!!!! Connor will see you all there in the next year or two -
I guess I should have been on the phone with Bobby Cox. My son was at the Jay County regional, we arrived at 12:40pm and weighed in, he weighed 115.3lbs. This was after being told at 10:15am (enough time to make weigh ins) that his season was over we were not allowed to go. My son decided to eat, only to receive a phone call at 11:12am telling us he could go???? We thought might as well give it a shot and he was .3lb over.....this was after he ate, I know for a fact he would have made weight if only we had been allowed to go in the first place.

Good for you, but again they will never be "full" results, believe me there are a lot of unhappy wrestlers, parents and fans out there. I'm sure this won't be the last time you hear about this

There will never be "full" results, as all teams/wrestlers were unable to attend. Not taking anything away from the wrestlers there today, but do you really feel you earned your placement??? Did you wrestle a lower place finisher to achieve this??? I'm sure that all wrestlers unable to attend would have stood up for what was right today, how about the ones that attended??? Congrats to Bellmonts coach for speaking up during the coaches meeting, we sure need a lot more coaches like you in this sport.

Individual Regional Delays...Please Post

I don't understand what is so difficult about this, Randolph and Delaware Counties are under a Level 3. Richmond has already postponed their regional due to this. Kids from these counties will be cheated of an opportunity to advance...sucks to work all year and not get to wrestle because of a idiot athletic director. :( -

Union City does have fans that support their team!! I think the boys need that, it is better than not supporting them. As far as posters/fans on this message board, I see a lot of the same names on here alot more than any of ours! Good luck to all at sectional today

As far as UCI's schedule goes, no it is not the toughest that it could be, but considering that approx 90% of our wrestlers are 1st or 2nd year wrestlers it probably would be very discouraging to be beat all of the time. There are a few decent kids on the team and they have to wrestle in the AAU season to get the experience they need. One very good thing UCI has going for them is that they have over 20 kids on their team this year compared to less than 10 last year. The coaches are trying to build a program and maybe one day we can wrestle all you tough schools out there.
