After looking at the brackets for example, why is it that a sectional with 10 teams that have 9 wrestlers in a weight class give 3 wrestlers a bye. What is the reason that they don't have 8 of them wrestle in the 1st round and only 1 wrestler has a bye? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tommyho Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 brackets have to equal out to 2... so 4man ,8,16,32,64 ...if u had 9 and wrestled 8 and gave 1 a bye u would have 5 winners in the winners bracket , u cant wrestle that down to 2 in finals cause u woulkd have to keep giving kids byes..
