The Whiteland Warrior Folkstyle Open is approaching quickly. The tournament is on January 7th at the NEW Clark Pleasant Middle School, close to the intersection of Sheek Road and Worthsville Road. Please note there is an intermediate school at the intersection, the middle school is the second school to the east. Entrance in rear. This is not at the school adjacent to the high school and football field.

Last year we had 238 wrestlers and we were done around 1 pm. We will have at least 3 mats down with 6 surfaces with possibly 4 mats with 8 surfaces.

The link for the emailed weigh-in information has changed with the new ISWA site update. Here is the link to the excel spreadsheet.  It is similar to the ones used last year,  if you still have one.

Emailed weigh-ins are due Thursday January 5th, by 8pm.

Thanks,

For those that run tournaments, what food items do you find that sell the best? The wrestling program at Whiteland has become the stepchild of athletics lately. First they remove the high school wrestling room, and now we have been denied use of the concession stand for our tournaments. We will still be setting up our own concession area. I was just curious what you guys sell that people eat a lot of to help fulfill the needs of the fans.

Try and get with a local restaurant that will sell you pizzas and or sandwiches at a discount for bulk and have them deliver every 1/2 hour starting at 10 or 11 am Arbys has always been helpful as well as Papa Johns and Pizza Hut.  If you have a local place that would help also for a better discount in exchange for advertising , also pass out couypons for who ever use in appreciation of their support. Popcorn always usually sells well walking tacos, try to find a local bakery to donate donuts and pastries so your club can make more money. Just a few thoughts.
