Must give credit to Crown Point pulling it out. Any one of the final four teams could have won it. Must give extra credit To Castle HS wrestling team. Their coach showed a lot of class, and the team as well. Castle overcame that monster Mater Dei, and nearly won a state title today. Castle's coach looks is a veteran coach and just unfortuanate his team didnt come home with the State Title hardware today. Certainly was rooting for hin to win a state title. His team wrestled extremely hard, and just not able to to pull out those two last matches vs PM. Btw, the PM coach, certainly resembles the legendary Dan Gable with thos glasses. Another classis Team State at Center Grove. Might have been one of the most exciting semi-finals and finals in years!!! Congrats to all of the teams!!! It was GREAT to see all those fans when everyone swore Center Grove would be empty after Mater Dei's loss. It was PACKED! Great Job Indiana!!!! Mater Dei might have added just a few extra fans, but it wasnt noticable. Yes, all of the fan bases were fine. Thoughts PM might have more fans being so close to Center Grove??? Also, thought the refs did a very consistent job officiating. Im sure not every single call correct, but they seem pretty consistent. I thought well officiated matches for the most part.
