With the season coming to an end, I was just wondering for those that want to continue their careers in college. What is the best way to go D1, D2, NAIA, or D3? I know there was a discussion about this on an earlier thread but I couldn't find it, and I jus wanted to hear some thoughts and comments. Also some insight could help these STUDENT-athletes on their future.

That sounds like the question that ran through my head my senior year of high school.  Speaking from experience, I wrestled NCAA D3 all 4 years.  For me it was pretty easy, I didn't want to go to a big school and I wanted to wrestle.  If you are getting looked at by D1 schools, that?s where the money is.  D2 and NAIA can offer you some money.  D3 cannot offer "scholarships", but you can get grants.  This basically is similar to a scholarship, but is usually not as big.

Obviously the higher level you wrestle at, the more prestige and tougher the competition can be.  But believe me, even at the D3 level, you will still find you studs!

In the end, its wrestling, you get out of it what you put into it.  No matter what level you decide to wrestle at, there is a level of satisfaction of being a college wrestler that is awesome.
