    Hey man I had a 50/50 shot that he didn’t know that and now you made 0 LOL but yep I know La Lumiere but I didn’t even know existed till like 4 years ago and don’t know much about them. I agree with all you said, just wanted to plug them in and hope for best really lol

    I see what you are saying but I just really don’t think it’s happening to Indiana. Besides Lee and Carroll I can’t think of any other the elite kids we’ve had over years do this. Culver academy is same school setup as Sem, then why aren’t the elites going there to wrestle? What makes this state so great, to me in all sports and I might be wrong, is that kids still live and love to wear their schools name on singlet and point to their whole community in stands when the buzzer sounds. With school and clubs/academies working more and more together in Indiana I think has helped to prevent this more too.

    Never better lol. 2nd best weekend of whole year behind my bday just happened and got to watch great kids compete at high levels in this great sport in the greatest state. Just why can’t we all be elite and grow the talent in this sport so much that semi state ticket rounds are as tough as top 8 state matches. You may not win the team title but you’ll still help push Indiana levels further up!

    Maybe I am but probably not. Just the “class state” and how Indiana wrestling is just becoming a sport for the elite and wealthy is so negative and way more harm than good. I am from one of the smallest schools in Indiana (Shenandoah) and I totally hate classing the tourney. I love class team state duals but I fell in love in 8th grade when I went to state and saw small schools just like me with a kids in the placings. It showed me that you CAN compete and beat these 4-6a school kids. We are in a sport where if you don’t like the kid that got 1st, YOU can change that by your efforts and we’re in 1 of 3 states where if YOU don’t like a team that won a tourney, YOU can change it. Silas Allred is an elite kid for our state that came out of the freaking “old middle school gym/cafeteria” of podunk Shenandoah that has a daggum wind turbine in its backyard. He did it all with shoes, a mat, a couple good partners, couple dedicated coaches/community and massive PASSION to be great and compete. Thrine just won a title with literally only wrestling his partners and listening to his coaches. These elite kids don’t just flee because they’re smarter than us and know they’re going to face a couple other elite challengers along the way and want to be apart of Indiana history legacy and truly grow our state in this awesome sport. “Iron Sharpens Iron”

    I do not know this kid at all but I just think with all the talk about the 3 schools and other things it’s getting lost that this young man went 52-0!!! That, for one, is extremely tough to do and cap off with a title. Also so so rare to see a kid with that many matches now. Most kids come in with 30-40 matches most? Looking at his track profile it adds up to him having 184 matches total over 4 years. Just think that’s an awesome career for Aiden Torres really, maybe not to others but congrats!

    Well considering Fort Wayne just brought 30 placers from all the random schools around. This is CG’s first year top 3. The elites like mater Dei and cathedral weren’t even top 5. Little New castle was 5th. I’d say no no no. And why would all these kids all of a sudden start doing that? 2 of our 3 best kids in D1 college right now are from a 1a school and 3a school (Silas, mason, Mendez). Why didn’t the Lees (besides nick senior year), Mendez, seltzer, Brayton lee, red etc all just skip out and go? Because Indiana is progressing talent and our state tourney is awesome. Everyone wants to grow Indiana wrestling and this sport till a school they don’t like has a good season.

    Also let’s not forget that Bburg only loses Leighton. Yes it’s a strong hold of their lineup but it is 1 kid and might have very good guy to fill the gap. Brewer will be top 8 imo next year and there’s more points. Just wanna show them the respect too or Money Mike will pester me to no end LOL

    Yep agreed. Its looking to be the center grove and Fort Wayne semi state show next year. LOL but really, center grove brought it and will be back for more next year and it’s awesome seeing the Fort Wayne success going up and up!

    Agreed. It’s great for the sport no doubt. Center Grove had individuals that would do well but as a team never did and last year was huge year as program so another elite team being added to the mix is awesome. My argument was only with that word “dynasty” lol sorry it’s the patriots fan in me but definitely agree with ya now my guess on the secret is Coach Curry breakout year when he arrives . Lol really tho he’s good dude to have but the LaRocca kid said it, that group has been together since youth and Swain and staff came at great time to keep all together and develop and it’s showing

    I totally agree crown point is a UNIT and it’s awesome with all the region talent. I will not question their quality and dominance. Just think they aren’t the only dominant ones but have a lot of recency bias for them right now, which they deserve and am not dissing whatsoever. And also don’t think center grove is a dynasty at all, is all.

    I didn’t mention crown point at all but thanks. What about Perry 2011-13 then? Winfield, lecount, massengale, Johnson’s, warrens?, lecount, cooper maybe too? I am sure there’s more. Cathedral from like 2016-21? Seltzer, slivka, rodgers, mosconi, melloh, guhls?, corsaro, Bernard. Mater Dei- from like beginning of time to idk when? Lol Lee brothers are all at Penn state I’d say that’s pretty good I’ll just stop there for them. All those guys wrestled at the next level. I’m sure I can get more names too. Idk what your tryin to prove here considering I didn’t mention CP at all and do respect them. Only questioned Center Grove being called a “dynasty” with 0 titles and just wanted to show love to other Indiana schools that really have been a massive constant for Indiana dominant talent.

    By any chance is anyone selling some All Session tickets or all Saturday ones? I have been checking and checking Ticketmaster and messaging ppl on here when I see posts but I still have not had any luck! If any has just 1-2 spares to sell me, idc if you even add on some money to make yourself a profit at this point. Text me at 765-524-4067 please and thank you so much! This state ticket experience has been the absolute worst and this sure as hell doesn’t help grow out sport!! What casual fan would deal with any of this?! We keep having the “class wrestling” debate but maybe it’s time we have the “does ihsaa even care?” Debate

    It impresses me that Chico even admitted that there were 2 guys better than him LOL. But I stand corrected bout Donte, you are right. I like the seeds how they are for most part, the Hammond one is my only question just because I don't know his accolades but I think Chico beats Frank (no disrespect Mr. Hammond). I was thinking that Perry biasy played bigger part in seeds criteria lol.

    Keep it 1 class, anything else is blasphemy. I'm from a super small school and would be totally against classing state tourney. If you need an example, take one look at Silas Allred. 2x state champ, 5th ranked nationally, wrestling for Nebraska now; from little po-dunk, not even a real town out in boonies Shenandoah. Other examples are Cody Phillips, Michael Duckworth, Stock brother from Monrovia and others from there and all the other guys I'm forgetting from the "small schools". All those kids did that for their communities and schools, all those kids are top notch athletes/wrestlers, and if you had a class state tourney I believe it would drive those kinds of kids away to bigger schools more quickly than keeping it 1 class is. They would get bored way quicker and be ready to transfer after sophomore year. The greatest thing about this sport is you can line up toe-to-toe with someone and prove you're better than them, you don't need coaches or parents deciding for you. Add that with the greatest thing about this sport in this state is that it is 1 class and you can be from the backwoods of northeastern to the hollers of switzerland county to the lakes of Angola and prove you're the best and better than the guys from perry, warren, bburg, crown pointe, mater dei, etc.
