    I coach the columbus east elemenntary club...as of right now, we do one day of exercises(push ups, pulls ups, dips, crunches, running, etc)...then we do a day of open mat with instruction...nothing to critical because we are just working on somethings with fun...not a full fledge practice...but my kids benefit until the season gets under way... I don't get caught up with what school this kid attends or what club he practices with...i coach wrestling...to whoever wants to be coached...at anytime...no commitment to me required...just a commitment to self required, a commitment to continuous improvement...     We are here in Columbus, IN but that might be pushing the 1hr one way driving limit...might inquire around Jeffersonville...Danny Struck is the head coach of the Jeffersonville High team but he has a great organization...and he keeps a lot of kids on his teams...there is also a group out of Kentucky called North Ox...I dont know much about them.....where they are exactly?...coach?...just a thought...

    Franklin & Perry Meridian both run very effective and efficient elementary dual team tournaments.

    If you are going to allow 20+ weight classes you might want to allow more than just 3 outside kids on a community squad. Disney allows three but there are only 14 weight classes. Ratio is off. You might up the number up to 5. Just a thought.

    Columbus East Elementary Wrestling Club The Columbus East Wrestling Club is for wrestlers of any experience level, ages 5 thru 6th Grade. You will compete against other wrestlers your own age and size, weight classes range from 35 lbs up thru 200 lbs. Parent Meeting and Signups on Monday, October 25th at 6:30pm at Columbus East HS, room A-128. Wrestlers will practice 2/3 days per week beginning the week of Nov. 1st. Wrestlers with 0-2 years of experience will practice on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Wrestlers with more than 2 years of experience will practice on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. And on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:00pm The week of November 1st will be FREE! Come out and see if the sport of wrestling is for you. No commitment is required to participate during the first week of practice. See you on Monday, October 25th.     nobody is perfect(except for for Y2CJ41...ha) and this stuff does happen...not only in pins but in take downs, escapes, etc... I tell my kids, don't put yourself in the position to let the ref decide the match...if you go out and dominate, hurry and pin the kid, then there is nothing left to chance...I know its ideal but that is how I make it through questionable calls that don't go in my favor...

    ...my interest is sparked... ...we are in columbus in... ...if you have enough interested teams/sites within a reasonable distance from each other, the practices could travel...3-5 months at one site then 3-5 at the next...it would even up the travel time for everyone, in turn relinquish some the responsibilities of always having to have practice at one facility... ...just a thought...
