  1. If you all remember, a few years ago, the IHSAA put in the points of emphasis not to have our wrestlers do this. The reason is because of possible confrontation between wrestlers and opposing coaches or wrestlers. There have been several times where there was some sort of confrontation. I never used to because of this reason. Then our Superintendent came to one of the matches and told the AD to make us. The shaking hands all comes from freestyle. My feeling is we already shake hands a bunch, before and after the meets. I don't know of any other sport you shake hands this much. Now after tournament matches, I do believe that you should shake hands, because it is the only time you will see that wrestler.
  2. I just checked the North Mont website. It's on the 30th and 31st.
  3. The other thing is, I always thought that people who liked teching people were people that can't pin people! HAHA!
  4. All a tech shows, the majoraty of the time is, the kid is good on his feet. Many times during a tech, all you see is the dominante wrestler, taking him down and letting him up. Every once in a while, the kid will maybe tilt for a cheap 2 or 3 back. If you can take a man down break him flat then over power him, turn him and pin him. That shows dominance! I understand that we are in the age of free style, but if a pin didn't show more dominance, then why do we score it higher?
  5. Jeremy Salyers from Edgewood is looking good so far. 5-0 on the season and looking to go 5-0 again this weekend. He will meet up with Perry's 140 this weekend and we will see how good he really looks.
