  1. Yikes! I forgot to mention the GREAT Tom Heckman while sending along best wishes to the Mt. Vernon team. One of the great families of wrestling in Posey County. An all-time great.
  2. Congratulations to Coach Jim Maglis from Princeton Community High Schol for being a perfect 7 for 7. For the seventh consecutive year, he is taking at least one wrestler to the State Finals. He continues a tradition that, for the past 20 years, in only two of those years - 1993 and 1999, have the Tigers NOT had at least one wrestler in the State Finals. Best of luck this weekend, Jimbo! Congratulations also to Sophomore 152 lber Drake Stein for keeping the streak alive. Drake becomes Princeton's 44th State finalist since 1980, their first unbeaten to State since Josh Hardy (who won his second State Championship @ 171 in 1998). Make us proud, Drake. Let me also pass along my sincere appreciation and genuine respect to Coach Bob Harmon, Coach Mike Brown, and the rest of the coaching staff and wrestlers at Castle high school for their phenomenal season, thus far. It ain't over yet. Finish the job, boys. And while I'm at it, I'd like to send best wishes to Kyle Jones and the rest of his hillbilly brethren from Mt. Vernon in Posey County for once again resurecting that program's proud tradition. Some of my fondest wrestling memories involve former coaches Larry Merit and the late Steve Torzewski and the old Mt. Vernon Sectional . . . Good Luck this weekend with yet another stud Hwt! Jimmy Wallace
