On page 35 of the ISWA publication, ISWA Tournament Rules, Regulations and Modifications and on www.iswa.com, under Rules and Regulations it states the following: 5. Pee-Wee, Bantam, Intermediate, Novice and Schoolboy wrestlers CANNOT move up an age division. Cadet age division wrestlers who are in high school may move up to the Junior age division. Senior age division wrestlers CANNOT move up to Veteran. However, persons qualified for the Veteran age division may move down to the Senior age division. This rule applies to all tournaments...not just folkstyle. This recomendation is from the USA Wrestling Sports Science Committee. If an injury were to occur, failure to comply puts your liability insurance coverage at risk. This rule has always been in effect and was made in the interest of safety.

ISWA Folkstyle State Finals Registration is Open

You do not pre-pay when your register or declare a weight. Entry fees will be collected at weigh-ins. Pre-registration is being used in order to have all information, with the exception of the actual weight, entered into the trackwrestling data base prior to the event. If for some reason a pre-registered wrestler can not participate they will not be charged the entry fee. Detailed information on both Folkstyle State Final events can be found at: www.iswa.com. The Duneland Folkstyle Open scheduled to be held tomorrow (1/18) has been cancelled, by order of the school coproration, due to extreme weather conditions. In other words, the high school cancelled all activities on Saturday and will not open the building back up for the Duneland club tourney on Sunday.
