Brooks lost in finals 3-2 4-1.
Tsirstis lost to Stieber in consolations 0-1 2-1 2-1. He then lost in the 5th place match on a last second score of the 3 periods.

Just beat me to it Y2.
Great scramble in the first to save himself and got the lucky step out from it when the got back to neutral.
Tsirsis lost in 3 periods. 1-0 0-1 0-2 Couldn't get in on a solid TD against a tough Ramos.
-
Yup. Ramos in the semi-final. Logan Stieber was also upset in the top half of his bracket.

Duckworth wrestling at 84kg (185lb). He is currently in the consols.

Wins over former World Team members Mike Zadick and Shawn Bunch in one day. Huge accomplishments for Reese. You would have to think Reese having some background training with Bunch at the Ohio Training Center has help him get to this level. The it comes down to Reese beating him to win the championship.
Finals match against Bunch at 17:30 mark. Get to see an appearance by Coach Hump twice as he contests multiple no calls on a throw going out of bounds.

Nice throw by Spencer Mango from the mat in the match before if you catch the video a few seconds early.
Semi-finals match against Zadick at 30min mark

Reese with huge semi-final win over Mike Zadick to make the finals vs. S. Bunch.
-
Very solid list. Glad to see so many talented guys commit to this event.
Minor correction I believe Molloy is a Sophomore.
-
So not the excellent science department, award winning speech & debate team, and possibly one heck of a video editing studio then.

my point is I would guess it would of been pretty hard for Devon to get to 130.
I think you mean pretty hard for him to maintain 130. Someone mentioned earlier you were allowed to wrestle at your lowest certified weight so I would suspect Jackson would have had to make 130 at one point during the year. I would agree he may not have been comfortable regularly trying to cut to that weight, but was able to maintain his weight around 135 during the school year.
-
"Most Reversals" would be kind of a dubious category. I can see somebody padding their numbers by deliberately giving up a bunch of takedowns to get reversals?! This is the "cut-em" strategy in reverse.
To pad my reversal stats I didn't have to deliberately give up any takedowns. They were going to happen most of the time reguardless.

Tsirtsis is a two time Flonational Champion with a 4-2 win in the final.
-
Here are the schoolboy finals. If you want to see the Indiana guys.
-
Reds finals match is at the 5:00 mark in the video. He's at 77lb as I believe a 7th grader. So he still in line to be around 103 by his freshman year.

Boston wins semi-finals I believe with a 4-0 win (maybe 5 with riding time)
Brooks lost in semi-finals 6-4
I read from someone that Tsirtsis won semi's no clue on score.
Boston lost in the finals but not sure on score yet.
Finals are live now but they are going in random order so 135 will be last.
No clue on where everyone else placed though.

A very nice rematch win over Gomez from Illinois on his way to accomplishing this too.

does anyone know how mark hall is doing?
Hall (Apply Valley, MN) is in the semi-finals so apparently they did allow him to wrestle after all. Not sure if the issue of a middle school wrestle being entered will be something the event coordinators will want to revisit in the future or not.

Any info on why Sliga didn't make an return appearance. Nursing injury, needing some time off, etc...... He won in the Cadet division last year on way to completing the National Triple Crown.
-
Sounds like we are having a very solid showing despite the low numbers in attendance from IN. Great job guys against some of the top seniors in the country.
-
Any info on why Roach didn't make an return appearance at FloNatioanls? Nursing injury, needing some time off, etc...... He won the event last year.
-
These are the only 3 that went? Wow, not a good turnout for us.
Too many choices between Senior Nationals (and their age group events), FloNoationals, and USA Folkstyle Nationals all going this weekend. Which means even the talent that wants to compete is being spread out between the three events.

Bailey was first pick for Junior do Santos's team and also was choosen to fight first against Lesners last pick.

Brock will be back this summer.
Thanks. Follow up question would be since they had obviously made specific plans reguarding his middle school career does the family have plans for what they would like to do in high school. i.e. stay at Apple Valley, attend a local Indiana school, attend a prep school someplace in the nation? Just curious if Indiana will get to see him in action during his high school career.

Also remember if GSP wins this fight, he wants six months to prepare for 185 and he wants to move up to take on Silva.
I'd want more than 6 months to get close to that weight the right way, get used to fighting at that size, and gameplan for that battle. But if 6 months is enough so be it.
congratulations to Leroy Vega!

I agree, but guessing a few factors come into play when making a decision to move levels. Hopefully Calumet Colelge can find a soild coach that will keep the program moving in the right direction.
