It's going to be weird seeing that kid in a Mishawaka uniform... He's a good kid and I hope him all the best as long as it's not against a Jimtown wrestler!

See Delta!Sad thing is wrestling (and other sports) just doesn't get the attention or draw the nostalga in most areas that baseball, basketball, and football do.
Its a very sad thing... We couldn't even have our own wrestling room. We had to practice upstairs and then roll the mats up every time there was a basketball game... Pretty Lame
I wrestled Steve Carter at semi state in 1979...
And I wrestled with Rex Brewer at SMC in 1980...

Collin Grome Elkhart D6 15-16 135 1, is actually Collin Crume.

Anybody who watched Harper wrestling couldn't tell he has a bum shoulder. He looked strong to me, I didn't think he'd get beat. Just wasn't his day and a victory over Harper is HUGE! That kid is a brick!

Anyone one know what teams will be there this year? I heard the teams have changed a bit since last year.

After reading the article again, something funny struck me. It wasn't mentioned if he was attending classes. I would think if he was working out in the wrestling room, he'd be attending classes. So if he is attending classes, he's doing his part of the deal. Who dropped the ball here?

Stahl beat Hall at 140
but it was verrrrrrry controversial
I saw that ref make some of the strangest calls.
That final round Hall looked like he was glued to the mat.

What is the start time for this meet?
7:00

I think someone has already made mention on this post, that some of the state's best 103 pounders have trouble getting up to 103. So I feel it's all relative.
Who was mentioned and what is all relative?
I think it was Brooks for one. As far as relative goes, most teams (Obviously not Mishawaka) have problems filling any weight class with state contenders ever year, let alone a 103 pounder. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw.

The year of the Alternates was also the year of my birth.

Good stuff! Ancient Elder, where do you come up with this information?
Keep 'em coming!

The Elkhart Truth does a decent job.

It's not the kid's fault, let him wrestle! Put yourself in his shoes.
And besides, who's sneaking around taking pictures? Sounds like invasion of privacy to me.

I know I'm missing a few but it's late and I'm going to bed.
I was on the Southwestern Michigan wrestling team with Ron Skimehorn and Coy Gilland (you might want to add him to your dream team) in 1980. Had a lot of fun with them! If you know or see these guys xBrick132, tell them that Jim Crume said hi!

I'd say the match with Graber and Spurgeon (189) will be a barn burner!
Are you in favor of allowing the refs to wear gray shirts?

For any refs that need the grey shirts, but can't really afford them. Just send your black and whites to my house and I'll wash them for you! When I get through with them, you'll have your greys......
