    sounds pretty acurate

That looks right. 140 could be a good final...

  2. I'm pretty surprised to see Colin Crume wrestled yesterday.  Glad to see he's doing well.

Did  Ross of Concord wrestle?  He wasn't listed with the Champions so I was wondering if Slough beat him at 119 or if he sat out for some reason.

Thanks, yesterday was Collin's first time back!

  4. Lakeshore is highly ranked in Michigan as was Lowell, Michigan.  Both were in the top 3 for their divisions I believe.  Nice win for the Cavemen last night.  The Lakeshore coach just won his 735th dual meet or something like that a few weeks back.  He's been at Lakeshore for 40 years or something around that.

Here is an article about Lakeshore's coach..

I like his quote-  ''Wrestling is the type of sport that grows on you,'' he said. ''It is a family and almost like a religion, like the Navy Seals or the Marine Corps. It's a special group and a tough sport, and I think there is a lot of respect among individuals who participate.''

  5. Question,

What sort of annual rules interpretation meetings have you attended this year?

The rules change from year to year.

You might be hollering about a rule that has been changed and you are not aware of it.

    TAE

    Afterthought:

Try ref?ing a match just once. You will get a whole new outlook on the matter.

    Split second calls are rough.

    What he said...

  6. apparently you must be the guy from mishawaka that was cusing to the perry guys after stahl got stuck which appears that you must have been his parents b/c i seen u go off right after he lost when everyone yelled he got stuck. ya mishawaka dominated and perry is young and learned from it but your state runner up got stuck and some parents dont know how to take a lose from one of your top wrestlers which i wasnt impressed at all by him b/c he was dominated.

    Yeah, I doubt that's Stahl's parents dude...

  7. If I were Regulator85, I would consider a restraining order against the Grant County Insider.  It seems he follows you to many places around the state to just post under the same IP address.  That dude must be off his rocker!

Hey, you have "Darryn Scott- Marion" ranked number one at two weight classes. Could he actually win two semi state titles? If so, that's not fair... :'(

  8. This situation seems clear as MUD... If the host says "everyone should wrestle", they threw the rules out the window right there. "Everyone" should have been accommodated. Especially one on weight! I bet he was PO'd :o...

  9. Saturday at the East Noble Inv., tourney directors allowed a #1 seed that was overweight, move up to the next weight. They rearranged the  original weight class, but not the new weight class. He was placed in his schools spot against the # 3 seed at new weight and his teammate was not allowed to wrestle. Fair or unfair

His teammate would have been overweight also if he went down to the vacant class, correct? Or are you thinking the teammate should have been able to go up a weight class also? Sounds like the stud was overweight and should have been taught a lesson, but that's just my opinion...

  10. Team scores: Jimtown 64, Vicksburg 14; Jimtown 69, Maple Valley 12; Jimtown 46, Sturgis 26; Jimtown 60, Battle Creek Lakeview 18; Jimtown 61, Edwardsburg 7.

Jimtown individuals: 103 -- Dominic Gerrett 5-0. 112 -- Nick Crume 5-0. 119 -- Zack Slough 4-1. 125 -- Hayden Davies 3-1; Emilio Forrest 0-1. 130 -- Greg Wyland 3-2. 135 -- Jeremy Hill 5-0. 140 -- Matt Hill 5-0. 145 -- Jeff Burghduf 3-2. 152 -- Mike Souders 4-1. 160 -- Tanner Adams 4-1. 171 -- Brandon Weinkauf 3-2. 189 -- Justin Wagers 3-2. 215 -- Dustin Chafin 4-1. 11. I was sitting above the mat when he was hurt.  We were very concerned at the time.  I am glad that someone finally convinced the medical staff to stop trying to move him off the mat!@#$%  That was nerve racking to see.  The Wood family will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Thanks for your prayers awood2. I'm Collin and Nick Crume's dad. Collin gets an MRI Monday and if there's no tore ligaments, he could be released to wrestle. We'll see! He's a pretty tough kid.

It's funny that you're the only one that mentioned that fact about  moving him off the mat so soon. I saw the AD telling the trainers to "Get him off the mat, we need to keep this show running". I'm not sure how I feel about that... I still get a bit fired-up when I think about it.
