I believe conference is Jan 23.

The drawback in this type ranking ;
as an example, the top 3 spots at Seymor filled by teams from the same sectional, only one of them will be at team regional. It would be better to chose one team from each of the four sectionals if you wanted a better idea of what will take place at the regional meet.

What day and time?

Catron didn't wrestle Petrov, he was @ 119 and Petrov had injured shoulder, so NC didn't bump him up. I don't remember who he lost to, but it was at 125 I believe.
-
Campbell 9-0 ( 2 FF, 1 tech and 6 falls, i think)
Mullins 9-0 9 falls
Wasson 9-0 fall over Helmick (cascade, and 4-2 over crawf)
Catron 8-1 @ 119 & 125
Rose 8-1 ( i think )
Bennett 8-1 @ 152 & 160
Mofield lost in ultimate tiebreaker to Kokomo's #3 state ranked kid at 215

If you're refering to the Bronco Duals here is the results I know.
Laf. Jeff 9-0
Kank. Valley 8-1
Westfield 7-2
New Castle 6-3
Cascade 5-4
Hanover Central 4-5
Crawfordsville 3-6
Kokomo 2-7
Seeger 1-8
Pioneer 0-9
it worked out that Jeff and KV met in round 9, both undefeated creating an exciting finish to the meet.

Like everything else it come's down to $$$$$. Title IX was implemented to narrow the gap in sports opportunities between males and females, but rather than increasing opps for females, the powers that be dropped opps for males, thus narrowing the gap ( % ) and in doing so saving mucho $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Leave it to politicians to ^$%* it up.

Possible matches to watch for
125 Petrov (HC) vs Catron or Mullins (NC)
135 Grayson (LJ) vs Mullins or Rose (NC)
140 Dorris (P) vs Fellers or New (NC)
White (W) vs Fellers or New (NC)
Dorris (P) vs White (W)
145 Shultz (KV) vs Fellers or New (NC)
215 Vice (LJ) vs Mofield (NC)
also look for Southmont's Robinson and Whitlow, crawfordsville's Farley, not sure what weight they are, but they should fall in the 135 to 152 lb range and that will create some good matches with the above wrestlers or with Bennett (NC) at 152lds.
-
Hanover Central and Southmont were there also, I think

Jag, that's what the SS rankings are for. This is a state wide ranking and sometimes the best are congregated in one area. Notice also there are 5 from the New Castle SS and 4 or 5 from Mville SS at 130lbs.
-
You must have 6 weighins BEFORE sectionals and one of those MUST be at the scratch weight, ie 103, 112, ect. I believe that you can weighin at scratch weight after the growth allowance, 103 when it's 105 ect., and it counts.

Danville is in the Avon Sect., Mooresville Reg., and Evansville SS

one big advantage is the kids can enjoy Christmas dinner

The coaches I've spoken with all have one thing in common GRADES they'll take a wrestler lower on the podium with good grades over a higher placer with bad grades every time. They can improve the wrestler, but it's hard to improve the student. This is even more important for scholarship athletes, with the limited # of scholarships to give, they can't afford to waste them.

gotta agree with Trinedad on this one

Not to take anything away from Portage, but I feel the biggest upset was when Portage ended MD's team state run, MD had won every team state dual in the history of that format until then. Coach P and his guys did an awesome job that match.

Man, that was a long time ago. Let's see how many I can remember.
Coaches
Kelly Collier, Skip Reese and myself
Wrestlers
the above mentioned and
Seth Collier, Brian Kuhn, Vince Reese, Ethan Raley, Jake (Hart) and Aaron Stephenson
I need to find a team photo
We had a great showing, finishing 4th
thanks for the kind words Brooksie, It's great to see the success tha those kids are having, quite a few are ranked in the top 16 this year. I wish Seth the best with his health issues and would have deeply enjoyed watching him, one awesome young man.
I think we had about 20 kids, my apologies to those I didn't name, Skip, help me out.

Jake has wrestled on the IN MS National team for me and is a great wrestler and kid, I don't know about the past 2 years, but this year NC has a freshman at 160 that wouldn't last 10 sec. with Jake. No bebefit to Jake and chance of discouraging a younger and much less developed kid. New Pal looked good and will battle Roncalli for sectional championship.
