  1. The IHSAA only broadcasts the 14 Championship Matches. That's why we always go down and provide LIVE VIDEO for all of the other 848 matches.
  2. www.broadcastsport.net will be LIVE VIDEO webcasting the Elkhart Sectional on Saturday, weather-permitting. We will have 1 camera on each mat all day long, with move-by-move commentary as well. We will be maintaining brackets throughout the day's action right on the same page where fans are watching from. And our brackets only require clicking a tab to switch to another weight and they refresh automatically without the viewer having to reload the page manually. You can checkout the brackets already for Elkhart. We will try to update brackets for at least the Westview and Mishawaka Sectionals as well. Our LIVE VIDEO webcasts can be watched in a viewer embedded right On the same page with the brackets on Windows and APPLE devices. And Android devices can watch by clicking a link to open a separate window for the video. Usually we LIVE VIDEO webcast the Mishawaka Sectional as well, but just ran out of time and people to make that happen this year. We plan on broadcasting the Goshen Regional next week, and might make it to Rochester as well, if anybody is interested.
  3. We are only allowed to keep our archives available for 60 days.
  4. If we were to only broadcast the State Finals and not bother promoting those wresters who only make to the Sectional, Regional or Semi-State level, we could probably raise enough revenue to cover integrating the Track Wrestling scoreboard as well. It is frustrating when a company from out-of-state who wasn't even on the State's approved list of broadcasters is allowed to come in, and is allowed to occupy the space that we have always been denied access to!
  5. We need someone that I can teach how to setup the equipment and people to do move-by-move commentary. It is usually easier to find talkers than techies.
  6. At www.broadcastsport.net we have webcasted the Wrestling State Finals every year since 2005, and we started including LIVE VIDEO in 2006. We also broadcast 2 Sectionals, 2 Regionals and 2 Semi-States every year. But this year we have been broadcasting more of that other (nameless) sport and are having trouble finding people to help with wrestling broadcasts. Maybe wrestling fans got too wore out fighting to keep wrestling in the Olympics, or Live Webcasts just aren't as valuable as we thought they were.
  7. The Northern State Conference will once again hold its Conference Tournament this Saturday at Jimtown. www.broadcastsport.net will be there with LIVE VIDEO webcasts all day long. You can find the individual weight class brackets on our website. We will be updating them throughout the day on Saturday.
  8. LiveStream or UStream is okay for folks who do occasional webcasts, but for companies who are serious about broadcasting and do as many broadcasts as we do, having their own server allows much more control and cost-effiecency. We can add stuff on the screen too, but having enough manpower to enter the info is not available at the sponsorship levels that wrestling affords. Like one of our friends in the video webcast business said, "wrestling is too much work, and too little revenue". It's sad that we have many times more viewers for wrestling than we do for basketball, but can only raise a fraction on the revenue. If we only had to raise ad revenue for just the State Finals, maybe we could afford it, but we try to promote wrestling at all levels, from the regular season through the State Finals.
  9. Did you try the links in the 'Archive' listings? With 16 different archives available from both days, you can select which round and which mat that you want to watch. I removed the live silverlight player, which might have been causing some confusion. Our archives as always have utilized 'Windows Media Player'
  10. It seems that we off going off on a tangent that is not the purpose of the this thread. I would like to continue the idea but maybe in another spot.
  11. Then Google Chrome needs to address the issue with Silverlight for some of their versions. Since some Chrome users have the same issue with NetFlix as well. We switched to Silverlight because of problems that many users were having with watching embedded videos with Firefox. Also as we move to Smoothstreaming video to allow us to service mobile apple devices, the older Windows Media Player won't work.
  12. Are you using Google Chrome? If so try Internet Explorer
  13. There were thousands of households watching our live webcasts of the State Finals at www.broadcastsport.net, but the actual wrestlers in attendance weren't able to be among those fans watching live. Broadcastsport.net, along with Ken Chertow Wrestling Camps, is going to conduct a contest to see which high school wrestlers are able to get the most fans to login to watch our archives of the State Finals! To register a wrestler will need to watch one of our archives and enter their name, e-mail adress and the word 'contest' in the comments field. Then when his or her family or friends login to watxch they will enter the wrestler's name in the comments field. We will award Ken Chertow DVD's, gear or Fort Wayne Camp $50 discounts to the top 4 winners. We are not announcing this contest on our website or anywhere but IndianaMat.com. Just a note that it is possible to track IP Addresses of those who login, so no cheating. Good Luck and let the games begin!
  14. Flowrestling might want to let the IHSAA know that they plan on webcasting because they are not on the 'official' list of approved broadcasters.
  15. Once again this year www.broadcastsport.net will be LIVE VIDEO webcasting this weekend's State Finals. We will run 4 separate streams with each broadcast covering one of the mats. We will have exclusive live video of the first 848 matches, but only audio during the last 14 Finals matches. During the consolation round when we drop down to only 3 mats, we will be doing live interviews with wrestlers on the 4th broadcast stream. We can still use a couple of more broadcasters, who would like to join our cast of volunteer announcers. We can providng lodging on Friday night.
  16. We need to find some 'techie' types who want to learn how to webcast events. If you have been wanting to start webcasting matches but haven't known how to get started, contact me and we can teach you how. If you are going to Fort Wayne Semi-State we could really use your help with setting up equipment!
  17. www.broadcastsport.net plans on LIVE VIDEO webcasting all day from the Rochester Regional on Saturday.
  18. www.broadcastsport.net plans on LIVE VIDEO webcasting all day from the Goshen Regional on Saturday.
  19. It shouldn't be too tought to figure out. Just figure 1 - 4 3 - 2 on th top and 2 -3 4 -1 on the bottom of the two feeding sectionals. That's the way one would think they would be laid out, but that's not they way they are. It's 1-3-2-4 and 4-2-3-1 What gives??
  20. How long wasn't it working? It is now!
  21. I have all the winners entered in the brackets at www.broadcastsport.net. I have some actual match scores still to be entered yet.
  22. I have all of the official results entered at www.broadcastsport.net through semi-finals. Un-official finals through 132 which is the last weight class finished
  23. www.broadcastsport.net will be LIVE VIDEO webcasting both sectionals all day on Saturday. We're currently 1 person or so short of enough broadcast people at each site to maintain 2 separate crews at each sectional and maintain our online brackets. I also have to live video webcast on Saturday at 11:00 as well which leaves us shorthanded. People need to use better planning before they decide to leave this earth! If there is anybody who can enter data into our brackets and/or wants to help with commentating please let us know. I will try to setup for 2 crews at each location, but without some additional help, we won't be able to go fore bore.
