This past week turned out to be a tough one for me. On Monday I started out with Strep throat which wasn't too bad but then I got bursitis in my knee two days after. Bursitis stinks your knee swells up and just hurts to the touch and applying pressure directly on it hurts a lot. That meant starting on bottom in practice was a killer. I toughed through it and wrestled vs. Liberty on Thursday and Chattanooga on Monday. Despite losing both of those matches, I am still focused on the upcoming conference championships in 10 days. As far as the Rat line. Freshman here are called Rats and what they go through here the first semester is called the Ratline. My mom showed a video of one of the many sweat parties we endured during the Ratline. VMI is unique compared to other military schools because their intitiation process is for a full 6 months instead of a 6 week training camp. Well, ill write more about it later; I'm going to be late to class. Andrew

Sportsmanship is not disappearing in no way from not shaking hands right after your match... are you kidding me? A young man should be taught the principles of common courtesy and respect from his parents.. Although I know the Crown Point coaches stress the fact to be good sportsmans and to be very repectful to others. If I wasn't respectful, Coach Vlink or any of the other coaches would have grabbed me by the ear and gave me a little talking to. Sportsmanship is defined as: the conduct and attitude considered as befitting participants in sports, especially fair play, courtesy, striving spirit, and grace in losing. How are these kids from Crown Point unsportsmanlike? I saw grace in their losing, their striving spirit, and fair play. This is what it is defined by so obviously they have good sportmanship. Sasquatch, in the upmost respect you've been proven wrong let it go! Someone needs to teach you a lesson in respect before you question others. I am not usually outspoken like this, but when I see someone disrespect and belittle a program that has helped me grow as a person; I find offense to it. Crown Point is a program that is full of wonderful kids and coaches, who respect each other and others to the highest degree. Enough said!

Y2 hit it right on the nose.. you can't sit and wait for colleges you have to do some scouting for yourself. as far as the dvds go mine was 4 quality matches against good kids with a close loss. National exposure is huge.. You have to get your name out there on the map..

No, I currently am starting at 174 for the keydets. I'm 10-12 on the year. As far as the Biology goes i either want to become a teacher, go into the fbi, or go to medschool -
I am also a former CP wrestler and Coach Vlink taught us to be very respectful towards everyone around us. Believe me we would hear it if we weren't. The not shaking hands thing is not a sign of disrepect; like it was said earlier there is hand shaking going on at many different times. I still have yet to shake another coaches hand after the match we don't do it at the collegiate level either. We do it sfter the dual though. These wrestlers are classy individuals who win or lose with great sportsmanship...

Congrats to the coaching staff of crown point 3 state champs is hard feat to obtain also while taking a 3rd 4th and a 7th Marcus, Anthony, Tsirstsis, Mark, Roach, Halsted, and Bakalik I'm so proud of you guys.. Lastly, Coach Vlink I'm extremely overwhelmed and happy for you not only did you get your first state champ you got three.. All your hard work and dedication to the sport and CP's program is paying off.. Now lets go get the Team State title GO BULLDOGS

103 Every match should be good but the #4 Ayersman vs. #5 Kuhn should be the best 112 #3 Mullins vs. #1 Hawkins 119 just like 103 but this weight class has some more intense match ups with the main one being #3 Brooks vs. #2 Eppert Every other match though is going to be awesome! 125 #6 Lovejoy vs. #5 Berryman 130 Alot of good matchups again but the top 2 seem to be #7 Richey vs. #1 Harper #8 Norton vs. #5 Cook 135 A loaded weight class here with every match coming between two ranked wrestlers. #3 March vs. #6 Reinoehl #4 Mascaro vs. #8 Welch #1 Roach vs. #7 Goodwin #5 Richey vs. # 11 Gerber 140 This weight class seems have some pretty good match ups but not as deep as 119 and 135 #3 Surma vs. #5 Stahl premiere match 145 #1 Bennett vs. #4 Corpe 152 #1 McMurray vs. #4 Sullivan #3 Estrada vs. #7 Brogden #8 Stein vs. #9 Quiroz should be good also 160 #4 Powell vs. #5 Jones 171 #1 Duckworth vs. #2 Atwood (this and eppert vs brooks are going to be intense!) #8 Shultz vs #5 Mappes 189 #5 Dalton vs. # 6 Leach 215 Unranked Howland vs. #2 Cleveland 285 #4 White vs. #5 Travis These are the best match ups in my opinion, eventhough there are still some other good ones... Ladies and Gentlemen at Conseco be prepared to get your moneys worth out this one..
