Did this dual really happen TWICE by exactly the same score as they're entered in our system?
North White over LaVille 42-27
No, those two teams only met once.

Mine is dish. It's says indiana wrestling on 412-38

Too far, some teams "Mine" are already 2 1/2 hours away....My question is, is MERRILLVILLE the biggest gym in that area?
I may be wrong abouy this by im pretty sure KV has a huge gym, but it's in the middle of nowhere. I think St Joseph's might be a reasonable idea but Valpo U would be the most ideal, IMO.

I have to agree. Seemed like he just wanted to get it over with. IMO it's the VENUE that needs changed.
VENUE is horrible. Although they seem to run a great tournament, that place is no place for a semi-state. Why is it still there??? What would it take to change it?

The referee had a good look to see if the kid was in spladle was pinned. He was there at leposition seconds and position didn't change. Looked to me his shoulders were up against Pruitt's side. Didnt look like a pin. I think it was good reffing and we did most of the day. Pruitt was square on the mat for a good while before the ref noticed. The funny thing was the expression on Owens face when the ref raised his hand. He had no clue he won.
I had a great view of this Wrestling Scholar. I had no horses in that race and I agree with you 100% Owen's shoulders were blocked from touching the mat due to resting against Pruit. If any thing that ref took extra long in calling the pin.

Any signs of results anywhere?

It's a very sad day to see the end of the Midwest conference.. It's all I've ever known, so next year will definitely be a little different.. Many great memories both middle school and High School came from the MWC. Coach of the year goes to Holeman! Congrats to him. He really turn that program around and is done a lot for that school and community. A true stand-up guy
Gar pow taking home wrestler of the year! Congrats to him. Kids legs are tree trunks, an exciting wrestler to watch. I was shocked fritz didn't get the award. Wish both wrestlers luck in the tournament
Yeah I think it could have went either way with Fritz or Garpow. Both impressive.

Congratulations North White Vikings for winning, in impressive fashion, the last ever Midwest Conference Championship. Special Congratulations to Coach of the Year, Jerry Holeman for leading his team to the trophy.
-
Agree with you both. And for bias reasons, my money is on North White.

Looks good. I noticed at 195lbs you have a trevor brown from Harrison. Harrisons trevor brown is 120lbs. Twin Lakes has a trevor brown at 195lb.

Anyone know any details about the Crawfordsville invite this weekend? Teams? Format?
-
I put some team standings under the battle of the Tippy thread. I don't have every result but if you are looking for a specific result feel free to ask. I will do my best. I'm a NW parent so I focus mostly on our guys.
-
Well give us some results!
-
SB CLAY took 1st
Delphi 2nd
Lewis Cass 3rd
North White 4th
Twin Lakes and Covington were 5th and 6th but not sure which was 5th and which was 6th.
I'm not sure about the rest of the places as they wrestled at Twin Lakes and I was at Delphi.
-
You might be referring to Battle of the Tippy? It was a 2-day, 2-location, 12 team, dual meet tournament. It was yesterday and today at Twin Lakes and Delphi. The 3 top teams from each location wrestled at Delphi today. The 3 bottom teams wrestled at Twin Lakes today.

Any wrestling happening in upper half of the state tomorrow?
-
8-2 Ball dec. Goering in the semifinals of that invite.
-
Looks good RG!
I have a suggestion at 113, Levin Ball from NW is 19-0 on the season & this past weekend he beat the 113 from South Bend Riley, IDK if it was #7 ranked Bryton Goering that he wrestled in the semi's of the TL super 16 or not I can't remember the kids name from SBR that he faced. If it was Goering, Ball beat him by 5+ points if my memory is correct
Maybe somebody else who was there can get the official score and verify if it was in fact Goering
Ball should be a contender for the TL sectional title and maybe even the Logan Regional title if he wrestles like he is capable of! Lot of season left anything can happen but I'm rooting for him!
It was, in fact, Goering, in which Ball beat. Not sure what the score was. I can find out later. I was there and dont recall Ball being challenged until the finals.

113 Leevin Ball North White Freshman

Tournament is in Rochester tomorrow.
182 Garrett Bell is 16-0.
What time does that start?

He wrestled 138 the first weekend of the season.
I beleive he wrestled 152 this past weekend at North White
