  1. Wrestlebacks in first round are not always unnecessary in regionals. Looking at 2 sectionals feeding a regional that the 4 from sectional A can beat the 2,3 and 4 from sectional B. If 4 would lose, IHSAA is allowing lesser ability wrestlers to advance due to a weak sectional. I know it doesnt always work this way, but in this instance this seems very unfair. Why not give the kids that dedicated a year of hard work that opportunity. A lot of padding and cupcake schedules by coaches to try to help get a better seed. This takes out the seeding errors in sectionals and lets the kids determine who wins and not the draw. Mathematically it takes sectional and regional to weed the nonsense out. By semistate the hammers are all there then.
  2. I was told willis did not wrestle Brown. Not sure why? I do not believe in dodging wrestlers to try to get a better seed. In order to move on you will have to face them anyway.
  3. I do not know Craig personally, but sounds like he is on his way up. My suggestion to him is not get tied up in the hype on this site. Keep working hard young man. If you are getting a state contenders legs 3-4 times in a match, then you are half way there. Finish! Finish! Finish!
  4. Reitz 120 is a freshman named Caleb Craig. I have seen him this year and he is on the verge of making an impact. Got a lot better wrestling Ferguson in practice everyday. Very scrappy. Maybe not a Johnson yet, but give him a year or two under Ferguson.
