    When your room is full of only one kid at a weight why wrestle off. Look at the line up, from 149 up it looks like they have one kid. Why waste time with wrestle offs

    Wow, tough tourney. Who do they have this weekend Duke and Cleveland State, can you say wow. Between the two off them they have fourwrestlers ranked in top 25 Willeford 125 from CSU is 24 th Gambucci 133 from Duke is 20th Shaw hwy from CSU is 25th Hartmann 197 from Duke is 20th The slide can not get any farther at IU, when will they make a change.

    Everyone jumped on some past wrestlers who have left the program taking shots at them. Trying to blame them for their transfer out. Maybe they knew more then us. IU had one coach leave right before the season last year and now one in the season. When will he be held accountable for all of the issues. We should start a fantasy pool as to what wrestlers will leave next. I got my money on a 141, 149 an 133. Why would you leave coaching in the Big Ten unless you did not believe in the philosophy and games played with the wrestlers heads. Great move for a great coach and person who is focused on winning, developing a program and developing young men

    So you have wrestlers leaving and now a coach. Wow, who is next to leave this program. when will the eyes be opened DG ship has sailed, he is to old school and does not know how to deal with todays issues. The wrestling room is not the same room as it was in 1980's, coaches and programs have to understand that and develop and change with the times while still being competative

    Drop Zimmer in at 125, move Duca or Caton at 133, Murphy 141, Raley at 149 or switch Murphy and Raley. That looks like a good start. The question at IU, is who is not in the line up, but who is next to leave. I have my money on two freshman and one upper classman

    How many D1 coaches compete during the season? Should the coaches who sign contracts with the schools and commit to the kids not be 100 percent focused on the kids and teams.

    It's not the issue of cutting weight it's the not knowing of what weight Goldman wants you. You can bounce weight to weight with out a structured plan for in season and off season. The better programs have this structure down pat, always a coach or club coach there to wrestle or work with the wrestles. Not the case at IU!. If you look at structure just look at roster and how they recruit, why do they have three, four, five wrestlers at lower and middle weights but only one at upper weights. As far as Iowa kid, if he wants to reach a wrestlers potential it ain't at IU, he should have taken his other offers

    I am hearing he is fitting in quite well with the Clarion which has clear focus and direction

    Great video like the others, do you notice they call it the IU Wrestling Team but like all other videos focus on the same wrestlers, all upper weights with know new recruits pushing them. Then we wonder why wrestlers leave over the last couple of years. Can not wait for the next one or two to leave , this one will help open everyone's eyes. You go in certain pipelines and raise the bar, the wrestles and recruits expect the same from the staff. That is year round plan with direction for all.

    I hope he is on top of his game come Clarion. With the loss of Murphy and Zimmer, Caton will struggle to have solid workout partners day in and day out

    I believe several of the weight issues were the timing when he was told he had to make 133. I am hearing he has his focus back so he should be ready and good to go at Clarion.

    You can not even compare Caton credentials to Murphy, not dogging Caton but Murphy has special talent. My guess is you will see Murphy flourish outside of IU, I also heard one of the recruits he helped get to Iu is leaving also
