  1. 1) PRICE OF ADMISSION - $20.00

    2) FOOD AND DRINKS - AROUND $20.00

    3)  LUNCH BREAK - $20.00

    4) WATCHING MY 11 YEAR OLD GET EXCITED AND NEVER BUDGED DURING THE CHAMPIONSHIPS- AND THEN SAYING TO ME "I AM GOING TO BE LIKE TSIRTSIS" - PRICELESS

  2. What changes should be made for next year.

One change that would be cool is to utilize the huge teletron that hangs in the center.  While everyone is waiting for hours before the event starts, a slide show should be going with slides of the wrestlers during the season.  Have all schools submit photos and put a slide show with music of wrestling photos.  That would truly be entertaining.  Also, when the Parade of Champions walk out, put the school name, and the kids who qualified on the tele-tron so we know who is who.  Why not!  On Friday night have a camera man working the crowd while we are waiting and put fans faces on the tele-tron.  So much fun to watch.  I think the only complaint I would have is getting there 2 hours early and waiting.  So use the tele-tron please!

  3. My biggest disappointment is why Saturday evening finals is not on TV!  That championship round should be televised.  Why not.  I don't think they would lose many fans because the atmosphere is so electric!  But to not put this event on TV for more to watch is a sin. Some of  those kids who are wrestling in the finals are house-hold names.  Especially Tsirtsis.  Wrestling is an awesome sport in Indiana.  What other sport has so many awesome athletes that you follow through-out their careers.  I can't think of any.  So put the finals on TV next year.  It deserves the attention.

  4. Hey Bob,

Sorry to hear about Wes.  We haven't seen him or you in awhile, but we saw you guys at semi-state.  WOW, he has grown into a young man and good looking.  He impressed us so much!!!!!  Good luck in his wrestling career, because he will be great!!!!!!!

  5. The best team won.  That is why I love the team finals.  There is so much drama, action, excitement all wrapped up into one day of wrestling.  And also strategy.  Don't forget strategy.  You can't predict what will happen and you sure can't predict the final score.  That is why coach Tonte is a genius.  I am sure he doesn't sleep much.  Great job Perry!!!!!!!!  This is a well-deserved victory, and I know there will be many more to come!

  6. I really enjoyed last weeks individual state finals as well as yesterdays team finals.  It can't get any better that what I saw!  There was so much action, drama, heartbreak, victories, etc.  And when I turned on the news last night, the only thing I saw was the final team score.  That is it!!!!! Really!!!!!!  But the girls semi-state basketball game got a few minutes of coverage.  I can't believe that wrestling takes back seat, as usual.  What is going on?  These schools and these kids deserve some recognition.  Did any one else see any news coverage?  ???

  7. I love this kid!  I picked him to win it all in the state finals and he looked awesome and flawless!  I saw him  wrestle a month ago and knew then he was the complete package.  Just looking at his wrestling style told me he was a genuine champion!  Way to go Nathan!!!!You are my hero!!!!!Can't wait to watch you in the years ahead!!!!!!4-timer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I went to my first state finals and loved it.  I sat for Fridays sessions and all day Saturday. I did wear comfortable pants and my gym shoes so I was comfortable.  I have to say that I did pay attention to the coaches and did notice the ones dressed up looking dapper!  I like that in a coach.  I know if I was coaching at a state championship, I would wear my best attire! The coaches that didn't dress up probably don't ever dress up.

  9. All I know is I always see wrestlers look at the clock especially when it is almost over.  It was so loud and I am sure Joe couldn't hear how much time was left so he looked at the clock, which showed 0 and the match was over.  This match should have went into overtime!  Joe got robbed!  I commend Joe for leaving the mat with class!  But I know he hd a hard time sleeping last night. Go get 'em at state Rebels!

  10. When our boys are competing, my husband and I do not sit next to each other.  We are both too nervous and hyper.  We would not be good for each other sitting together.  He is at one side of the gym, and I am at the other.  Occasionally we will wave to each other.

  11. Just wondering how the moms are taking the wrestling season?  Are you as nervous as I am?  I am so nervous when we get to this point, especially now that my son is a high school wrestler.  His team won't make it to state, but maybe my son has a shot!  I can't wait for all the action!  And I can't sleep!

  12. All I know is that I am a mom of a wrestler and I can't wait for Saturday.  My son controls his own destiny!  Just like all the others.  What makes all of this exciting is that you never know what can happen.  Haven't you seen a #8 seed beat a #1?  This is playing out to be a season  to watch!  Drama, everyone loves drama!  And what drama this will be!  I am just a mom getting nervous already for my son.  I can't wait for him to upset some kids on his journey.  And if he doesn't, then he has no one to blame!  ARE WE READY TO RUMBLE?  Get your brackets out because I believe no one will get them all right!
