  1. Floyd Central will win 103. One of the quickest and strongest 103's in the state.
  2. Crown Point will be a force to contend with.
  3. This message is not aimed at Hunter, whom I do not know, but in general to people who feel wrestling is some top secret operation and get bent when their results are shown on here. I would agree on most things with Y2 and Rankings Guy (I wouldn't agree that a coach had to be a great wrestler to be a great coach). For those of us who are fans but do not have the time to attend a lot of the meets due to our professional and family obligations, this site is a great resource. It keeps us involved in a sport that we would have otherwise lost contact with because local papers cover it less than ever. A large part of that is because many wrestling coaches do not get their sport and their kids names out there. With this site, the information distribution takes care of itself. Instead of trying to censor your already small fanbase, let them enjoy the sport how they want. Yeah, there is some trash talking and misinformation, but that just shows there is a lot of passion for the sport. Coaches who get bent out of shape about this site are only hurting the sport. Each coach should be jumping at the opportunity to put their kids names, results, and articles on this site because it is read and followed by so many. If you're worried about it getting in your kids heads and affecting their performance or hurting secret matchups, then there are bigger issues in the mat room that need to be addressed than worrying about this forum. With today's technology, no one is sneaking up on anyone anymore. I know for a fact that two wrestlers in our area had colleges looking at them because of this website. Without getting the names and results out there, we are hurting their opportunities. Thanks to Y2, Rankings Guy, and the other contributors on this site for helping get wrestling on the map in Indiana.
  4. How would you rate the teams in terms of strength now? I'd say Columbus East Jennings County Jeffersonville Floyd Central New Albany Seymour Madison BNL I didn't get to see all of the results from Saturday but from most of the scores this is what I would say.
  5. Maybe a bit over optimistic on my part. Floyd did have 2 of their best wrestlers out so I think they would have picked up a couple of more wins but thats not an excuse. Gotta wrestle with the team that steps on the mat. The young line up will only get better as the season goes on. Hats off to CE because they proved they were the team to beat even with a ff. Is there a 103 on the way? JC and Jeff looked very tough. Great job to all and we'll do it again in about a month!
  6. that is very impressive on the part of CE to FF that many classes and still beat JC! Congrats.
  7. jeff once again put on a good show at the hhc. they are missing a few guys i expected to see but still tough. more inexpereinced than last year for sure. fc's first match of the year so inexperience for fc showed a bit. new albany and fc had a close one. great match between weekly and adams. weekly pulled it off but adams was very close. big day at jeff tomorrow. saw ce had several ff's against jc. hope they bring a full line up to see how good they are. looks like jeff may be the best but we'll see when they match up against jc and ce if all classes are full. going to be some great individual and team battles!
  8. Of course anything can happen in wrestling but I don't see a young team like that coming in and beating the more seasoned teams. They will win some matches but I don't think they'll place in the top 4.
  9. Seymour may be improving but they will not be in the top 4. They didn't win but 2 matches against any of the top teams last year. They will not be Jeff, FC, JC or CE. They may be able to move ahead of Na or madison though.
  10. happell from fc is 112 but terrance kennedy fc is 103 and he will be a contender to win that class
  11. Yeah, I don't see anybody running away with this thing. I'm not sure jeff is as good this year as they have been the past couple of years but they will be in every match with everyone if they don't win it. Fish brought up a couple of good points though.... a lot of teams have been real young for a few years now. All that matters is who you show up with and wrestle with. The reason Jeff is winning is because they are keeping kids in the program. JC and CE seem to be keeping more kids around longer. Floyd has always done that and thats why they dominated for years. They took care of their problems so theyll be back with the top dogs. This weekend will be all about key matchups. I only seen one team put together a full line up so far this year and that is Jeff. I really want to see FC, JC, CE and Jeff all wrestle. It all comes down to which teams get the most/give up the less pins. I think FC surprises and beats Jeff friday night at FC. CE's middle weights will give everyone trouble but they have to have everyone in the lineup to come out on top. JC will be solid if healthy. I think each team gets at least one loss.
  12. Thanks everyone who posted results out there. Looks like a lot of teams are still figuring out there line ups and filling all the spots. Jennings County should be a great matchup with CE with some big battles if they can both have a compelte lineup this weekend. Any results from New Albany, BNL, or Seymour?? FC has only wrestled their scrimmage and they have some of the best talent they had in many years. I could see four state qualifiers on that team. From what I've seen they have a good shot at getting the crown back this year with the six minute style back in action.
  13. did ce not wrestle everyone or do the have some ffs in the lineup? jeffs got a lot of new guys in the lineup this year and did not do great at captial city. looks like the title is going to be a toss up this year
  14. CE will be tough in the middle classes. I'll have to wait to see the entire team before I give them the crown though. I checked out jeff on the capital city brackets. lots of new names in there. I think your going to see close race at the top this year. i think a lot of teams have three or four guys they can count on for sure but the team that wins will be the one that is most solid from top to bottom and doesnt give up pins and picks up bonus points. this will be the most exciting hhc duals in a long time i think. guess we'll know more come saturday.
  15. Fn - u just worried a lot of teams out there. waiting for dec 3 hhc duals is like waiting for xmas!
  16. I agree the HHC is getting much stronger. I put Madison there because I knew they were real young and bnl looked like they were improving last year. I don't think theres a basement in the HHC. As long as teams fill out spots they'll be competing. I didnt realize CE had so many returning, so maybe my early predictions were a little off. I'll move CE above NA but I think NA will be improved over last year as long as they fill all their spots. I could see the top four all getting at least one loss based on matchups at the HHC duals. I think FC will be back because they had a ton of good underclassmen last year and should have a boatload of freshman out this year that did very well at the middle school. I don't see them overtaking Jeff because it looks like the room at Jeff is pretty deep and more experienced.
  17. Yeah, lets wait until january to talk about sectionals. The only interesting thing about this one is who will win between Jeff and Floyd. Won't know matchups until late in the year probably.
  18. i would have to say floyd central will be a competitor again this year. They have not dominated the past couple of years but they got that stuff behind them. They have dominated the middleschool tournaments the past three or four years. They have one of the strongest coaching staffs with 4 former D1 wreslters coachin in the room and some good athletes out. In two years they should have the best team in the hhc. I still think Jeff is the top team but they lost a lot of guys. Floyd and JC will be right there with them. After that it is a pretty big drop off in competition. Jeff Floyd Jennings NA Columbus Bedford Madison Seymour
