Trying to access the Avon sectional, I get an error message saying "File doesn't begin with "%PDF-"
I am able to open the others. Is there a problem with this one file?
Thanks
Fixed

13 sectionals now!
-
About 1/3 of the way there already. We have 10 sectionals posted, keep them coming.

1. Your record doesn't really matter. He got 7th at the ECIC, that's about all you need to know. The #4 seed from Norwell got 5th at that same tournament. Bellmont has beaten the Norwell kid.
Are you saying head to head is over record? Wow, that is news to me.
-
You gotta do what you gotta do to beat those 2A schools.
-
Based off the seedings here are the standings
Whitko- 120
Carroll- 114
Dwenger- 111
Garrett- 109
Churubusco- 65
Leo- 53
Concordia- 43
North Side- 40
Columbia City- 35
Northrop- 35
Eastside- 3

Not too bad, had the 2nd seed at 189 wrong and switched the top two seeds at 215.

Sooo tonight we had a weight class take about 45 minutes.
Here is the situation
Garrett beat Bishop Dwenger
Bishop Dwenger had winning percentage over Carroll
Carroll had winning percentage over Garrett
So the person running the meeting wants to eliminate Dwenger right off the bat, then give the seed to Carroll because of winning percentage. Numerous coaches step up and say, no Garrett should get the seed and explain because they have the highest criteria. So more fun discussion ensues. Then we all vote 9-2 that Garrett should get the seed. The administrator does not agree with this, so we keep bickering. Then he says well Carroll gets the seed, the Dwenger coach agrees and Carroll gets the seed. Two other times the same situation came up and the administrator was all set to give the seed to the kid who won the head to head match. Of course people spoke up and said that you didn't do that at this weight class and he proceded to argue that giving the seed to the head to head kid was the right thing to do.
No wonder our meeting took 3 hours.

I have some updated brackets
Plymouth
Carroll
Westview
Jennings County
Working on Jay County

I concur boot we are going to be here until midnight

Actually, I placed at Westview as a freshman and did not place as a sophomore. As a sophomore I placed at East Noble, but did not place as a freshman. My freshman year I got 4th out of 5 kids and lost to the 5th place kid by pin. Yes, I am THAT good! I placed at both as a junior and senior including my first place finish at East Noble my senior year.
I miss the good ole days of keeping track of how many times Ed Fox would mess up and have to be corrected. Keeping track of how many diet cokes Andy Shipe drank and how many times a Columbia City kid lost to a state ranked kid 4-3.
At the Al Smith meeting I learned that there are a ton of great wrestlers that for some reason are very suceptible to a body lock. I have begun teaching the body lock to all of my wrestlers, especially to the younger ones.
-
Ihsaa.org has the rules.
According to the rules the kid must have one certified weigh-in in January.
-
Well the seeding meeting tonight should go relatively quick then since Y2 has the first two seeds already locked in. Y2 can you also archive the poll results for last year sectionals on who was supposed to win?
If everyone let me seed the meet it would take less time and we could just enjoy the great food and b.s. all night long. I am pretty certain I get no more than 5 of those seeds wrong. I could go further, but have limited information from Concordia and North Side.
-
It depends on which format I get it in. If its emailed to me in .pdf or .html, it takes a few minutes. Any other way takes about 10-15 minutes unless I have to retype everything myself.
-
Seeding meetings are tonight. The links will be added when I get them. Last year we had all 32 sectionals and I hope to get all of them again.
-
Where was Austin Shepherd?
-
No, Gilbert was at 119lbs most of the year. I guess Gilbert would be the #1 seed based on being the returning champ.
-
Maybe they can wrestle for the "true" sectional championship instead of having the class thing like they have now.

One of Roe's closest matches is to a kid that is 16-15 on the year. That might be a big reason.
-
Campbell will probably be in the top 5 still. I am sure the rankingsguy will get the lowdown on the match and adjust the rankings accordingly.
-
I wonder if Metcalf said "no one makes me bleed my own blood."
-
It will move him to 2nd or 3rd in the semi-state. He still has a loss to Gonzales on his record. As far as the state rankings go, he will move into them, but probably 10-16 range.
-
Thanks for the rankings work. How many guys did you have ranked number one that won state last year? What is the lowest ranked guy to win state?
