gmsuks
The Leo wrestler was Mark Toarmina. I may have the first name wrong. He also had a brother who wasn't as good of a wrestler. He wrestled around the 138-145 range and placed again the next year. He was also the coach at Leo for a few years. This would have been more like 29-years ago. I think that was 1982 or 1983 when that happened?
Pug
According the Ancient Elder's book, Echoes of the Elder, Mark Toarmina, Leo, placed 4th as a sophomore in 1982, qualified as an alternate in 1983 and placed 2nd in 1984. If you are a fan of Indiana wrestling, you need to get a copy of his book. (This is not a paid announcement and I get no cut of the action..the book is more than worth the cost)
