usaw_events Posted March 9, 2011 Share Posted March 9, 2011 2011 ASICS USAW Folkstyle Nationals Message Board Post #4 We have already had wrestlers from 32 states sign up for the 2011 ASICS USAW Folkstyle Nationals! USA Wrestling does not charge athletes to change weight classes after they register, even at weigh-ins, so wrestlers are encouraged to sign up early to guarantee their spot in the tournament. Registration will be capped at 1,000 wrestlers for Cadets and Juniors, and 1,500 wrestlers for Kids and Veterans. Earn the right to be on the USA Wrestling National Events Poster for the 2011-2012 season! The ASICS USAW Folkstyle Nationals is the first stage of USA Wrestling?s Triple Crown Series. The next two stages are the ASICS Kids Freestyle/Greco-Roman Nationals (intermediate, novice, and schoolboy) or the ASICS/Vaughan Junior & Cadet Freestyle/Greco-Roman Nationals (cadet and junior). Any wrestler that wins national titles in Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman will have their picture on next year?s USA Wrestling National Events Poster. 2011 ASICS USAW Folkstyle Nationals April 1-3, 2011 Cedar Falls, IA @ the UNI-Dome Bantam (2003-2004) Intermediate (2001-2002) Novice (1999-2000) Schoolboy (1997-1998) Cadet (1995-1996) Junior (Born 9/1/91 and after plus currently enrolled in grades 9-12) Veterans (Born 1986 and before) Awards: The top eight (8) place winners in each kids, cadet, and junior weight class will receive an award. Cadet and Junior champions receive the coveted 12? stop signs! The top two (2) teams in each kids age group will receive an award. Clubs must be USA Wrestling sanctioned in order to be eligible for team awards. The top three (3) place winners in each Veteran age and weight class will receive an award. Schedule: Cadets and Juniors weigh-in Friday morning and compete on Friday and Saturday. Kids weigh-in Saturday morning and compete Saturday and Sunday. Veterans weigh-in Saturday evening and compete on Sunday.
