I  had 36 and tied school record  (class of 2005 LNHS).

Does anyone know why Wrestling State Finals are not shown on TV? Wrestling fans are limited to a broadcast of it via internet. Football, Baseball, Basketball (boys and girls) and Volleyball state finals are all shown on TV.  I have heard its because the sport of wrestling isn't big enough.  This is so not true the wrestling fans fill up Bankers Life more than basketball state finals and heck volleyball state finals is on a college campus.  Some body please explain this  ???

Here are some great spots that haven't been named.

To be named a state champion means that you are the best in that weight class during that year.  This means you may face a tough opponents early or later but sometime during this course you will have to show what you are made of. NO MORE EXCUSES IT'S TIME TO BRING IT OR  LOOSE IT.  (side bar full wrestle backs would be nice)

Bernard has a little better offense, Winfield has better defense.

I have watched these two this year and I agree these two are great wrestlers but both matches they split was 3-2 over time matches coming down to escapes.  So its safe to say that these two are equal all around offensive and defensive. Will be a great match I will be there pop corn in hand.

I think everyone would be upset at state if they ran out of shaved ice. IMO  ;D

I was a little off in my prediction of 19 to 15 Iwoa ... but like I said its hard to wrestle in that Carver the 11th wrestler is a beast to deal with.  ;D  Great dual.

This will be a very exciting match to see. Either way it goes both wrestlers will defiantly leave it all out there and give us wrestling fans a show for our money. IMO ;D

I agree Donte should be honored for the consideration along with the Molloy. These young men are great individuals and work hard at the sport. I am sure other opportunites will come their way.  Best of luck to them all.

Let's not forget that PSU will be wrestling against Iowa's 11th wrestler as well the CROWD... to me I think Iowa pulls it off 19 - 15

Donte hasn't decided where to go yet. But he did get an invite to the dapper dan. Just throwing that out there.

Any reason to why he didn't accept the invite? 

Who was Hwt Bernard 2nd loss too?

I've only heard of one loss and that was to PM hwt.

Not the same kid, that was Bell (who graduated)and he was a state qualifier.

Oh ok well the beech grove kid is back right he did pretty good and I think he was a Sophmore now junior

Yeah if  it the same kid from last year he is decent I saw him wrestle against  the decker kid from Beech Grove

Hard for me to believe there are none of the top 16 heavyweights in the state is in the Indianapolis area...

 

None of the big time football programs ( BD, Warren, LN, etc.) have anybody this year? Indianapolis Arlington's heavyweight won the City last year and looked solid doing it. He should be dangerous this year.

I believe that the Hwt's at these schools are young and will be on the coming up this year and years to come. From past years heavyweights dont break out on to the scene until there junior or senior year, But I truely think you are in for a shock come MIC and county with these teams and there heavy weights.

We held wrestle-offs this past Wednesday during school!!!!!!!!

We had wrestle offs last year right after the state tourney......LOL  ;D

GrecoRef, Yes I did and when I get one it is times 500!!!! ha ha.  Coach Milius of Yorktown is  coaching at LN this year & he is showing all the different ways he got those take downs from his HS years!!!

He sure is I think LN wrestling staff is one of the top staffs around the state. As for coach Weimer yesterday he didn't look to hot folded up like a pretzel.....lol  ;D
