In recent years, there has been an increase of high school wrestlers switching schools based on their athletic programs funding and success. Would these type of recruiting practices make the sport better or create Super Schools and destroy smaller programs?
So I ask you the following questions?
#1. Should athletes be allowed to switch schools, to better pursue their own goals?
#2. Would Indiana public school athletic recruiting practices improve the sport or destroy competition?
#3. If recruiting is not an option, should there be stiff penalties for violations? and how much proof
would you need? (video, witness)
#4. Who should be penalized? the athlete or the athletic program?
I ask these questions because I'm interested to hear others input.............
(presently, I have the opinion that athletic recruiting should remain illegal, but instead of trying to go
after the athlete's eligibility, I think the school athletic programs should be penalized for
violations...just one man's opinion... anxious to hear yours!)
