Close scramble at the end
Sounded like there was a lot of people cheering for and against Burroughs
-
Thanks looks like I got this information just in time as Burroughs' match is just starting!!!
-
Awesome
How many mats are they running?

Thanks for the updates -- You da Man!

Sliga at 5 is way too low. He has much higher national credentials than anyone else at 195, and a victory over Ryan Solomon (albeit several years ago at Brute Showcase duals - I think).
They seem to be putting a lot of weight into his 3rd place finish at Super32 and possibly not enough into his recent victories over other ranked (some at 182) wrestlers. But I am sure his performance at Fargo will speak for itself.
I wonder if he is planning on going both Greco and Freestyle. Seems like at the Junior level, Fargo is an even bigger grind than cadet.

I think the point being made is that Perry only uses their own kids, I think your mistake was thinking Riley had not transferred yet. Although even if he had not already been a PM student as you suggested, his intentions were to do so and the point being Perry doesn't go looking for wrestlers from other programs for this tourney year in and year out. Even more impressive is the fact they don't use guys lke Kirk Johnson or Jared McKinley even though eligable to do so, they choose to only use wrestlers that are returning students the followng season. Congrats to the Falcons and way to represent Indiana, and doing so in such a respectable manner!
Agreed -- Perry is EXCELLENT representation for IN wrestling. I can't see how they could be any classier in this event.
Thank you Perry coaches and wrestlers, and all the IN teams that went for making IN wrestling look so good.

FYI - it is St. Paris Graham.
Too funny - well played. Wahoo

Joe Arthur Bloomington North....Fargo Champ if I remember right.
He gets my vote. Fargo champion (or runner up) and never made it to state...mind = blown

Mr. Right: To say that either Sliga or Berry would have won the title at 220 shows that you
are not a Tyler Kral fan. He had the toughest draw of any weight class. Did you see the
builds on the 220lbers that he beat. You were probably mad regarding the call
that went against Robinson. I heard that the officials were not going to make any
adjustments to the call unless it got protested. Coach Vlink and Rodriquez, being
on the ball and knowing the rules as well as any official did indeed protest and the call was
negated as it should have been since one of the officials did see the move initiated
off the mat. To say that Sliga or Berry could have won the 220 is very disrespectful
and very bush league. Get a life. Neither one of them could have went through the
monsters that Kral did. Robinson was a good sport about it and I wish him the best and hope
he wins state the next 2 years. I think he could even win it at heavyweight if he should put
on some weight. He is one strong dude.
I'd say without question Berry's draw was tougher than Kral's - He had the most trouble (save the finals) with the Princeton kid and after that, his opponents had a combined 2 losses (prior to their match with him) and half of those losses were Sliga's closest match of the season.
IMHO I think Sliga could have beaten anybody at 220 -- I don't know if I would say he could have wrestled an entire tournament giving up that much size and not been too worn out by the the last match, but in a single match situation, I do think he and most likely Berry could win.
But all we can say for sure about 220 is that Kral is the champion and that cannot be taken away...

What a great career and what tough breaks for this kid. He and Campbell both.

2003 MD Placed 9 with 4 Champs and 1 punner-up. They might had 3 more, but the mighty Griffin H.S. keep that happeing with 4 champs of their own. Over all MD points total was the highes scored. Someone else can let us know if the points spread would be with Griffin.
Agreed this year's Perry team is good but not as good as EMD 2003 (probably not as good as 2009 Mishawaka)
It is amazing to me that the 2003 EMD team lost a dual meet that year to OH's Parish Gramme --Don't know the details, but wow that team must have been stacked!
FYI - it is Griffith
-
Biberstine!

I understand it is a pretty serious back injury -- As much as I would love for it to have worked out that 2 - 2xers were squaring off under the lights, it's not worth the kid risking permanent damage.

Team Tone. PM
Many of the Perry kids also train with CIA.
Also, if you ever get thechance to see a CIA session you'll find it's a lot more than just having a bunch of talented kids in the room. Coach P has got quite a system that goes beyond the mat.

I hope the match happens and that Phillips is healthy, I am not sure how bad his injury is.
Even if Phillips is healthy it will be a battle, both can really push the pace but I think Crume wins if he breaks Phillips. If Phillips hangs tough he wins.
Don't want to cop-out by picking both so I'll say Phillips hangs tough and wins.
Definitely the best match-up Friday - If the draw was different - this could have been a Sat night match-up.
-
I'd say of the 3 Berry got the toughest Draw to get to the Finals (to get there he will most likely have:
1/4 - winner of #4 Raypole/#6 Early
Semis - likely #3Maurer
Finals -#1Sliga
If he wins, He will have earned it for sure

Thank you so much for the updates!!!

go to video feeds at broadcastsports.net and at bottom of page should be updated brackets...

1. Tsirtsis
2. Sliga
3. Jackson
4. Brooks
5. Willis

With Kral, Nickson, Robinson, Gallegos and Reagan all at 220!!! It's gonna be a barn burner at Merrillville next Saturday
No kidding. Outside of losses to each other all 4 are undefeated.
The logansport regional has 1 undefeated and 1 kid with only 2 losses. Makes for a complete meat grinder of a SS

Robinson showed great hips and was dominant from double overs. Just a flat out great athlete.
After seeing how good he is from upper body ties I think for anyone to stand a chance against him they will have to really work a good game plan. He is too dangerous to just throw a kid out there and say go get'em.
-
He isn't in this regional. He is over at the Calumet Regional.
Thanks -- I guess I was too excited about the team regionals....
-
I'd have to go with Berry at 95
-
Wish I could make it. Great match up. I say Molloy takes it, he will be better from neutral. Molloy wins 4-1

That makes sense - Canada and the UK have very open trade/work relations. It is very easy for Canadians to get a work visa in the UK and a ton of canadians (espicially young adult) take advantage
Thanks again for the updates - hope you are enjoying the games and I hope you like Indian food
