For any of those actually in the gym and watching the Hall-Lynde match you would agree that T-Lynde dominated the match. Yes, Hall should have gotten called by stalling within the first if not second period (if actually called would have equated to about 3 points it was that bad) but when he cut T, he cut his luck. T is a very good offensive wrestler and when he knew he was not going to get the points on Hall's stalling T attacked. Hall continued with the stalling...that is when Hall himself put his head on the mat, in which T took (literally it was a leg). Why not give T the respect he deserves regarding this match? Honestly, if i could match them up again, I would bet on T to school him even more. Just because Hall is ranked in the State he gets a get out of jail free card? I disagree, and let them wrestle again and let the better wrestler win.
Go T-Bone.
Good Luck "T" at state, you are already a champ on my list.

Surely I am not the only one who watched the Lynde-Tonte match and the Lynde-Hall match? Both (Tonte and Hall) were riders once they were ahead, yet T attacked and they did not (Shame on the officials for not calling stalling on both matches but I would not count on it at State), but that is how it happens. And yes, for those oppoesers, Hall should have been called for stalling earlier in the semi-finals, but he got what he got.
So for those T will wrestle (or any other who choose the method of The Staller's), rest assured your game is up. Six minutes to the better wrestler. Officicials, this is why you get paid. Even in defeat, the better wrestler is known and the rider/slacker is identified as one who does not want to "tie-up" to publicly risk their lack of ability.
Just so everyone knows, talk is not just on this website, but it is in the coaches world, the officials worls and spectators, those who stall to win are not thought highly of.
Just my two cents...and yes, I have been in this business a very, very long time.
With that being said, "T" go-gettem at State tomorrow." You have a huge following as being the real thing.

Thank you for the correction...in the Freshman Phenom discussion I should have included Mullins, for he deserves it.
Sorry Joe and Conner. Won't happen again.

The kid works wrestling like a job...Good Luck to him.

All great postings regarding the Freshman Phenom's, however I would like to add a little more. These young men work this sport like a job. Most have been wrestling over 11 years and typically we see these freshman wrestlers noted in the postings more outside of Indiana than in the Indiana tournaments. That just goes to show you their dedication, hard work and commitment. So, how about we don't put these freshman against each other and sit back and watch their successes?
With that being said, a true "Good Luck" to each of you"
Kyle A.
Brendan C. (Please get better soon and we look forward to seeing you at Conseco next year. I couldn't leave you off this list even though I know you can't compete this year.)
Anthony Q.
Kourtney B.
Tyler W.
Jarred B. (I know you will be at Conseco next year...and we look forward to it.)
Jason T.
Tanner L.
These boys have been representing the state wrestling for Team Indiana for years and are good friends. This is a talent pool that will fuel Indiana Wrestling for years.
These athletes represent so well and deserve everyone's respect. Hats off gentlemen and slay the giants. I think many fans who you may or may not know will be cheering for you. Upper classmen are only older, not better so make your mark on them.

With all due respect, I am merely stating that stalling is used and has been used on the matches that I have witnessed as I noted above. I mean no disrespect to the athletes but more to the coaches who encourage this. I have seen both Hall and Tonte in other matches and have not witnessed this, but have to question the riding/stalling I witnesed in the Lynde matches. Hey, this is just my two cents as a spectator. I am sure someone has dirt to throw towards T.
