Coaches, I would like to invite your wrestlers to the 2011 Mason Trophy Tournament which we'll be hosting on 12/18 at the Mason Middle School. We are expecting as many as 1100 kids again this year and will get them in and out quickly with 3 sessions and 18-20 wrestling surfaces in 2 gyms. Separate brackets will be written again for the beginner wrestlers. Congrats to the Cathedral Fighting Irish for winning their 3rd Mason Super Duals title yesterday. Great job, guys!

Coaches, I have just been informed that Bethel has cancelled their tournament this week. That leaves Mason and Blanchester hosting tournaments on 12/20. We have had close to 1100 kids in past years and we seem to be able to handle that well but we cant handle much more than that so I am going to cap our tournament at 1200 kids to insure that our tournament runs smoothly. Those who either get their rosters in first or email a commitment of wrestlers will be who gets into the tournament. After 1200 wrestlers has been reached the tournament will be cut off. I forgot to mention that in Ohio, youth wrestling is K-6 and middle school is 7/8. 6th graders are welcome to wrestle in either division. You can download a form at http://www.masonyouthwrestling.com/Tournaments/Mason_Mixed_Team_Tournament.asp There are only 6 spots available per weight class and those spots will be given to the first who sign up.

Here's a great opportunity to get 5 quality matches in one day. That's tough to do in late May.
