  1. As a Perry alumni, I have been proud of the wrestling program for 20+ years.  It has been an extremely impressive run for the past decade for Coach Tonte, the rest of the coaches and all of the wrestlers who have been in that room.  They continue to lay the foundation and set goals for the next group of Falcon wrestlers to work towards.  Good luck next year and keep making all of the former Falcon wrestlers proud.

  2. I am gonna guess that this thread was started to talk about dub-C (Warren Central).  I think they got last in the Marion County Tourney last year, so I am confident they will be much better than that this year.

  3. Any of these kids could challenge for a state qualifying berth next season:

    Mikhail Marcuson, Noblesville

    Eli Walker, Alexandria

    Alex Wormuth, Noblesville

    Jackson Bennett, HSE

    Clayton Davenport, BD

    Wayne Specht, Noblesville

    George Stokes, Anderson

    John Riedling, Warren Central

    Jon Blanton, Alexandria

    Kyle Nardi, Lapel

    William Clinkscales, North Central

    Damon Albertson, Roncalli

    Ian Early, Greenfield Central

    Darrell Hogue, Lawrence Central

    Jake Stilwell, Pendleton Heights

    Joshua Jones, Broad Ripple

    Colin Snyder, Fishers

    Wesley Bernard, Cathedral

    Tyler Uhls, Shelbyville

    Hayden Janney, HSE

    Levi Kinney, Cathedral

    Richard Brown, East Central

    Jordan Naughton, Perry Meridian

    Tre Taylor, BD

Unless he is transferring, I think Darrell Hogue wrestled for North Central.

  4. Harvey won the match.

The discussion should be how the match was officiated and not how it was wrestled.  The big guys do wrestle a different style, but that can be dictated by the referee.  If someone never attempts an offensive move for 2 minutes, he should be warned for stalling at the least.  If he is not warned, why change the game plan.  Stay in good position.

  5. Harvey won the match without making ONE attempt to take Howe down.  It may have been different if the ref would have at least gave him a caution.  Maybe that would have forced Harvey to open up and perhaps make a mistake himself.

Regardless, congrats on a great state championship!

  6. you seem to pick alot of upsets and under-dogs lol; i like to see the under dogs win but i dont pick them to win it, its wat makes them the under dogs; the least amount of people expecting him to win, the bigger it is win he does

The only true underdogs may be at 112, 171, and 285.  And Petrov was a runner-up last year, so that doesnt seem too far-fetched.

  7. 103 - Boomsma - may be physically stronger than Boston

112 - Petrov - Avenges last years loss to Phillips

119 - Ayersman - better than the field

125 - McKinley - cant see Kieffer beating him again

130 - Molloy - toss up - going off hearsay

135 - Raley - beats Kieffer this time

    140 - Tsirtis - too good

145 - Roach - experience in this situation wins it, but tougher road than expected

152 - Lefever - fort wayne always has ONE champ

160 - Anderson - can beat willis and should compete with other 3 undefeateds

171 - Lynde - wrestling as well as anyone

189 - Sliga - could be Stevenson or Berry, but I will take the Soph

215 - Reese - wrestles like he weighs 160, too quick

285 - Henson - seems to be overlooked

  10. I wouldnt doubt this is the toughest hwt sectional. Looking forward to the outcome this should be a battle I wonder if these guys  will also take top four at regional?!

I would say these three guys should make it through semi-state, if they are truly of the best 8 in the state.
