  1. Tsirtsis is so good that its boring to watch him. I mean why watch any of his matches when you already know the outcome? He's beyond anyone else in the state of Indiana right now. I'm sure he could go and compete and be an All-American in college right now. That's how good he is.

I agree he is good, but that is asking much of ANY HS wrestler.  Div I is no joke!  Maybe an all-american in Div II or III would still be tough to accomplish

  2. Given the situation of who he was wrestling, it may have been a bit much for Riley's reaction.  But knowing who he is, I can say that he may have gotten caught up in the atmosphere and hyping to the PMHS students in attendance.  So I would not fault him too much.  This was a huge match in Indiana and emotions were high for everyone.

This would have also been a great opportunity for one of the former Falcon greats in attendance to pull this outstanding young man aside after the match to congratulate him on a fine win for the team and to remind him of who he is representing and of the legacy of sportsmanship at PMHS.

Thanks to both teams for an enjoyable match

I agree that Riley probably got caught up in the atmoshere and it would have been great for SOMEONE (maybe a coach) to pull him to the side and talk to him about celebrating when the dual meet was already decided.  I think it is up to the coaches to TRY to teach the kids how to win and lose with class and dignity.  Unfortunately, I watch professional athletes every Sunday celebrate a sack, a first down, or hell, even a simple tackle late in a game when the final outcome is no longer in question, so I am sure our kids see this and think it is the way to act.

  3. Does anyone thing either team will move the kids around to get more points? (ie. maybe bump Willis to 82 to try to get a pin, Harvey to 70 and a back-up at 60 - if coach mcginley is confident he won't get pinned)

    Just curious.

  4. If you are looking for consistency...this probably wouldn't be it, but the Yorktown vs. Bellmont dual meet was quite rowdy the past couple years.  Do/Did they wrestle a dual meet this year?

I did not mean to exclude any duals from any other parts of the state.  Those three just came to mind as rivals.

I bet those meets have een spirited the past several years.

  5. I am not sure of all weights, but Cathedral could win 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 195, 220 and HWT - which would surprise a lot of people that have seen Perry wrestle this year.  Unfortunately, I do not see any of these weights getting bonus points; whereas Perry could get bonus points at many of the weights up thru 132.

  6. I do not see anyone touting the Falcons as the best ever.  I do not see any Perry people on here tootin their own horn (except for the Big Hawaiian who is now rooting for the Leprachans - j/k Bob).

But to say they would get blanked is ludicrous!

  7. Here are my predictions by weight class. There are some great match ups!

    106 - HSE dec 6-0

    113 - Cath dec 6-3

    120 - Cath major 6 - 7

    126 - HSE major 10 - 7

    132 - HSE dec 13 - 7

    138 - Cath dec 13 - 10

    145 - Cath dec 13 - 13

    152 - HSE dec 16 - 13

    160 - HSE dec 19 - 13170 - Cath dec 19 - 16

    182 - HSE dec 22 - 16

    195 - HSE dec 25 - 16

    220 - Cath major 25 - 20

    285 - Cath dec 25 - 23

HSE wins 25 - 23. This match will come down to who wins the toss up matches (132, 145, 152, 160, 170, 285) and the team that picks up bonus points. This is going to be an unbelievable dual meet and a precursor of what we will see down the line at Team Regionals.

Coach - who is at 160 for HSE?  I respect your opinion, but Harvey will be a handful.
