YOUR team's singlet is always the best! ;D
-
I'll take Bova 3-2 and Venezia 5-2

I believe the number of top Indiana coaches has grown tremendously over the last decade or so. Back in the day, there seemed to be fewer great knowledgeable coaches...probably the same at all levels though.
-
You ppl make it sound like the 50's on this board. The difference is men do not WANT to participate in girls sports. She is performing at a level that is exposing some of your insecurities. If the boys don't want her out there, wrestle her like a man and BEAT her...if you can. lol

I wouldn't count out Cathedral against Crown Point.
Good point Coach Thornton.
-
I do not see MD winning enough matches to keep it close. PM should win by 15-20.
-
Jamie Murray Decatur Central 88-91
Pretty good pick, although I dont know what he did after HS.
Gil Journey is another pretty solid pick.
-
I am pretty sure Tsirtsis would win, but Cosgrove was funky.
I am waiting for Cosgrove to chime in.

Why does everyone care about our perception in other states? We can change that by getting more kids to not just wrestle in national tournaments, but do well in those tourneys. She has earned her spot like everyone else. I doubt everyone thought the 126lb weight class was down last year in college wrestling because a guy with one leg won it all. Everyone saw an athlete that worked their tail off, regardless of the circumstances.
Keep up the hard work, Kayla and continue to represent Culver (this yr) and hopefully the US well in the future!

I liked watching wrestling at MSA even better than Conseco. That might be because it was pre 911 and security wasn't as big a pain in the butt. You could leave the building and return with a pass out. You could also leave your belongings in your seat to save your place between rounds on Saturday so you didn't have to wait in line again for the consolation and final rounds. That wait in line for the last session is a big suck-fest. My least favorite part of the state finals for sure. By that time in the weekend you're tired and have already waited in that ridiculous mess twice. Oh well, watcha gonna do? It's worth the wait for me.
The best part of MSA was the organ. That music brings back memories...and sitting in the restaurant drinking beer and watching the finals.

I enjoy all of this debate over the 106 pounders. We also have another thread on a single 106 pounder. Most ppl would just assume get rid of this class for another class around 145.
If Boston gets to the finals, I expect him to repeat.

I did not take the time to look at my earlier picks on each thread, but Cathedral and Perry could reasonably get 8.

Not the MOST underrated, but a side note for many.
Cody Lecount - PM
Everyone seems to be fixed on Phillips and Ayersman. Lecount has one loss in 2 years, to Price last year. I do not have all of his match results, but I do not think anyone has been close.
If he doesn't win state, he will be within 1 or 2 points of anyone.

The New Castle SS has Bova, Venezia and Farrell, not to mentntion Handley and Blanton. Those guys are not too shabby either.
-
That's one man's opinion. Perry will have to wrestle very well to get 10 through to state.
I am guessing 8 would be a more realistic number for Perry...even though 10 (and 13) would make the Falcon faithful very happy.

Neibarger lost to Floor from Westfield

shhhhhhhhhh...

Apparently Moss vs. McKinley (4-3)
Any details?

That may be very true. I di not take this into account.
