Mishawaka starts their grind this weekend at Traicoff Invite. Perry Meridian will tune up at County Tournament Dec19th for big grind starting Dec. 29th at North Montgomery Duals. Enjoy the cupcakes while you can the "Stud Muffins " are coming. Next up for BD ........cupcake or stud muffin?????? ;D What do you think HighC?
I think that Marion County is no cupcake tourney...that's fo sho!! BD vs. CG on 12/15 then we've got our Giant 16 over break and a meat grinding 6 way at Franklin Comm on 1/9. The MIC tourney is no joke either.

I love cupcakes!! White cake and chocolate icing!!

Light the fuse!!! Post this on Gridiron Digest and watch the fireworks.

Having it on Wed/Thu makes it much easier for football coaches!!
How is that???
You don't have to rush back for game time. Football coaches that travel would most likely skip Friday's sessions altogether.
Maybe I'm alone on this one. Are there any football/wrestling coaches out there that agree?

Ben Davis Wrestling is having a golf outing on Saturday August 8th at noon. It will be held at Oak Tree Golf Course in Plainfield, right on US40. $50 to golf includes 18 holes, a cart and a chance at door prizes. Foursomes will play a Florida Scramble format to compete for a trophy and an optional $20 Skins game. We are also looking for hole sponsers at $100 and $50/hole or $25 Cart sponser. Email me at oneilljd@hotmail.com if you are interested in playing or sponsering a hole.

Listen to what Reece says about his team. What do you think his reply to this question would be? As a wrestler, there were times that I was absolutly sick when my teammates would lose. There were times when I was such a nervous wreck that I couldn't watch them wrestle. They were my teammates, my workout partners and my friends. They pushed me, encouraged me, challenged me and comforted me. Wrestling is a team sport, I don't care what you say, it's very difficult for an individual to succeed in this sport by themselves.
-
Tom,
Can you contact me at oneillj@apaches.12.in.us ? Or can someone give me his screen name or his email? Thanks
Jake O'Neill

We had almost 200 wrestlers, it was a good day. We were cleaned up and gone by 3. Thanks to all who helped.
-
also the injury time thing, again they are not breaking a rule you do not need to prove you are hurt, its a broken system but it has to be implemented to ensure safety, if someone wants to take advantage they can, sure you can hope karma doesn't bite you in the butt, but you wont get penalised.
Where were you when Cameron Smith was wrestling?
-
The tourney is folkstyle. We have clubs coming in from Oak Hill, Lewis Cass, Peru, Ft. Wayne Carroll, Tipp Valley...it will be a decent turn out, not huge though. I'll guess 75-100 wrestlers.
-
LEAVE EM ALONE...ALOT OF PEOPLE USE INJURY TIME AND ABOUT THE FINGERS......I LIKE IT...DISRESPECTEM ...SHOW NO RESPECT
Wow, I'm beside myself

Did Lincoln Mcllravy win state as an 8th grader? It seems like I've heard that before.

my name is MAXIMUS DECIMUS MERIDIUS
Commander of the Army of the North, Leader of the Felix Legion, father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife and I WILL HAVE MY VENGEANCE in this life or the next.

I ran across an article on the mat.com and it said that a 6th grader from Florida placed 5th at state High School state... He ended the Season with over 60 wins. I know in Indiana middle schoolers cannot compete in high school but why not? It would help fill some small schools rosters...
Whats your take?
My take? Indiana has more quality wrestlers than Florida...nuff said. I mean, I'm sure there are some awful tough 6th graders out there but, REALLY, which ones would even come close to even making it to state, let alone placing.

Two age divisions might be necessary...a K - 3 division and a 4 - 6 division or a pee wee/bantam division and an intermediate/novice division...using iswa weight classes, fill em or forfeit.
