Just noticed that nobody mentioned Isaiah Bradley. Muncie South freshman probably planning on 103lbs but maybe 112lbs. He will definitely be a threat from his area and beyond. I know he went 6-1 in the schoolboy duals. He is a fighter and competes. Good luck!
I think Isaiah is only going to be 8th grade this year.

I talked to ISWA today when i seen your post.... I was told that awards are going to be sent out...it would take alittle time get them out. due to the fact that all the addresses had to be gathered.

Ive been involved in wrestling with my son in the ISWA for 9 years....Indiana was considered a "FRESTYLE STATE" when we first started. Freestyle state tournament was just huge with numbers...now they can hold all divisions on 1 weekend now. Folkstyle has out grown freestyle in Indiana in the last 6 years or so. if i recall Indiana has had the ISWA Folkstyle State for only about 10 or 12 years now. If im wrong can someone please correct me. I remember we had to go to Ilinois for folkstyle when we first started. Now that folkstyle has such a long season when its time for freestyle (which i love) its getting nice outside kids want to play baseball...instead of wrestle. I do beleive kids who wrestle freestyle are better folkstyle wrestlers because of freestyle.

Hey ItalianMom... I know track only places to 4th but.... Rex was announcing all day that they would place to 6th place with the 3rd place finisher in each brackett not wrestling but to be decided by points they scored for the type of victory they has in each match. The wrestler who had the most points would take 5th. Rex also said medals or ribbons...I dont remember which...would be mailed to the 5th and 6th place finisher.
From 1 Italian to another ;D
you said you worked pairings......Great Job all day!!!!

All i Know Isaih Bradley beet the undeated wrestler from brackett A for the championship .that tells me he was the best wrestler in the 102lb class that day and very well deserviong of the champioship

at 117 they have it wrong.... Adam Garcia challanged Zack Mroczkowski for 2nd and garcia won...ISWA is showing Zack at 2nd when it should be Adam.... I know they will correct the standings for the whole meet soon.
-
They have got the results on ISWA but they are wrong... they just copied it off trackwrestling and track did not show the wrestle backs or the kids who placed 5th and 6th. I hope Rex gives them the updated placers with the full 6 man placement.
after that long of a meet the kids deserve to be recognised to 6th place.
-
Yes at 102 Ward Challenged Bolin and Ward won taking 2nd
-
did Ward challenge for 2nd ?? did he wrestle bolin @ 102??
-
They actualy are placeing to 6th place at 102 5th Ryan Negrelli
6th Connor James
Great Job Guys!!!!!!!
-
AJ.... keep certain weight classes in one gym and the rest in the other??
-
It would be nice to have it over 2 days...but you have High school semi-state the day before.
-
Im sure coaches will have the scales from there club around... I know i will... Its not hard to find a open scale at oje of these big meets
-
I know alot of clubs dont want to spend the 125.00 to 150.00 per ref to be there all day. If they have a small turn out then half of the clubs earnings are possibly spent on refs... I do beleive that there should be at least 1 registered ref required at all iswa santioned meets to walk the mats and watch. I have seen a good number of high school wrestlers do a very good job reffing. What people have to remember is that new refs have to come from some where they just dont get good by mistake. These kids who do ref learn and get to know the other side of the game by being a ref for a day.
-
AJ....Rumor has it you may be 1 of the national team coaches...Is this True

Is the meet going to be a blind draw.....or will you wrestle in the order you sign up online???? or will it be a seeded meet?
-
Thanks ProPower..... So if the kid who lost the championship match beat the kid who won the 3rd place match earlier in the day...Im guessing they would not wrestle again.
