I have never heard big schools promote classing the team state untill they thought it was on its death bed and needed support to try and save it. -
Personally, I would just as soon see the IHSAA scrap the Dual Tournament in it's current format. At it's inception the feeling was that the IHSAA was headed toward classing everything and that the Dual Tournament would be classed eventually which would have made it a good tournament in conjunction with a classed individual tournament, but that did not (will not) happen. The people who are for keeping the Dual Tournament will say that we can keep it and work for "classing" it, but I think that is a pipe dream and a way to maybe prop it up for a few more years. Coach Peck your statement above is how I have felt about this for years. I want it to be classed but dont see it ever happening
