I totally agree with the Lee prediction, which I stated on this thread, and looking at your DeLaPena prediction, I would say that's not too far off base either.  I think he beats the young man from Morton, who I assume you are referring to, but I agree it will be tight.

If DeLapena wins his first match he will have either king from LC or pradus from Hobart

I think it will be as close as Gelen wants it to be. Everyone knows how strong he is but I was surprised at how quick and explosive he was. I wished he would of picked wrestling next year but I'm sure he will do great playing football.

Rentas from merrillville is looking tough. He could be a dark horse at 145. I also think that Sopko and black from Hobart could bust some brackets. 120 is full of upsets!

I've heard of Rentas and Sopko and see that they are both ranked. But haven't heard much of black and I don't see him in the rankings.

Looks like they split the matches 7-7. The difference being all the bonus points by MD. It's good to see both teams travel out of state and represent Indiana well.

MD 37 Merrillville 28. Don't have any individual matches but I know they were tied late in the dual. Seems like a good dual.

The last one happened in the last part of the 3rd. The ref originally gave him 1 point then after the buzzer went off he checked with the table to confirm it was his 3rd violation and changed it to a 2 point violation.

Against covaciu?

Yes vs. Covaciu. Not sure what his original injury was but he looked pretty hurt when he injury defaulted. Hate to see any kid injured especially his senior year.

Wow what a great story. Being a high school student and wrestling is hard enough I couldn't imagine having to deal with everything else that an adult should only have to deal with. Hopefully he'll find a college and continue to wrestle at the next level.

With 6 of their 7 state qualifiers returning they should be in good shape next year.
