Quiroz was a state runner up last season and he got put out friday night so I think in most peoples eyes it was an upset

maybe he cut too much weight?

He may be the best pound for pound in the state..

if he was a head coach he would definetly be the top seed.  I saw him in college. He was a great pick up for portage. I was suprised when he took the assistant job I think he could probably be a head coach somewhere.

The saddest part of all of these situations is that it is overshadowing what is one of my favorite times of year.

I would like to see it stay in the region. That being said.

I thnk the question we should ask before We look for a different venue is who will step up and give a legit proposal to not only host it but also run the tournament. I think it's much easier said than done.

1.  Sectional Saturday - a returning state runner-up was allegedly allowed to wrestle without having the proper amount of qualifying weigh-ins.  His coach was allegedly disciplined with a slap on the wrist but the integrity of the weight management policy was further compromised by lack of enforcement.

If there is not going to be any more punishment than a slap on the wrist then why have a policy? Or why not just rename it weight management guidelines? What are we teaching our kids if there is no consequence for our actions? Even if it was the coaches fault.

Jessmo, I would definetly look in to this. If it was the same case as your incident then you may have an argument. Then again unless your kid was a runner-up last year you may not. 

Does anyone have any details of the Hawkins bradley match? I know the score was 6-5.

DAC had 3 sectional champs (Merrillville, Crown Point, Portage) but all 8 of the DAC schools were in those 3 sectionals. 

 

Chesterton and Laporte finished 2nd and 3rd behing Portage at their sectional

I think lake central finished second to munster at east Chicago. But still a strong showing like always for the DAC.

Your team definetly was the better team yesturday. But making fun of a coaches name is uncalled for.

As far as the "move ins" as long as they are done legally (the parents actually move) I don't have a problem with that. And this is not the reason merrillville lost. cp just simply wrestled better this day.

189 & 215 both could have gone either way. Overall it was a close dual if they wrestle it ten times they may go 5-5.

Padilla at 119 also wrestled Hawkins well I think the final score was 5-3.

Heard a RUMOR that one of the better guys from cp has a serious injury. Not trying to spread anything as I said it's just a rumor maybe someone from cp can confirm or deny this rumor.
