If I was the coach I would wrestle Kral against both teams. I don't think he has lost against either of them. He (Kral) can send a big message if he goes out there and dominates both of them.

How do all the NP wrestlers have up to 45 matches already?  there is no other teams that have that many matches.  most of the big DAC teams have around 30-38 matches but there is a bunch of NP kids that have 45 matches already.  How many tournaments can they wrestle in? 

Maybe the DAC coaches think quality not quantity. It seems to work fairly well for them.

Nice article in the NWI Times today about Billy Maldonado from East Chicago. He is the head coach at Lovett near Atlanta this past weekend his team was the runner up in their team state dual tournament. According to the article they are  class A. They wrestle their team state before the individual. Billy is the younger brother of Merrillville head coach David Maldonado.

I'm on my phone and can't post a link. Maybe someone else can post the actual link. It's nice to see former Indiana wrestlers doing well out of state.

They are the individual tournament champions. CP is the overall champions. Not sure how exactly it works out but I think that the dual season counts for 75% with the individual tournament count for the other 25%.

Congrats to Merrillville on a nice day with 8 champions. To bad I missed it. Does anyone know what happened to Quiroz? Is he hurt? Also heard coach Vlink was not at the meet does anyone know what happen to him?

Not sure if anyone can post them but the seeding meeting was supposed to be last night.

Why aren't things set up better so that MD wrestles Christian Brothers and both MD and Merrillville wrestle Blue Springs?  Those were clearly the four best teams, based on the scores, and only 3 of the 6 potential match-ups among them happened.  Worse than that, the probable championship (MD/CB) wasn't one of them.

I agree it would have been nice to see MD wrestle both of the other schools and Merrillville wrestle Blue Springs. If they travel that far I'm sure both coaches (MD & Merrillville) want to wrestle the best teams.

This was taken from the Missouri website. Looks like our Indiana teams represented IN very well. MD undefeated and Merrillville's losses are to MD and the #41 in the country.

MD beat Farmington (the Top Rated MO team) 54-11. They beat Trinity by about the same amount. MD closest match so far was Farmington and M-Ville vs MD next round. MD 4-0, Mville 3-1 (lost to CBC)

Round 1: Mater Dei v. CBHS - this is the 2nd CBHS team (not the varsity team). Just got word from St. Louis.
